So this is a realistic point + click adventure, whilst very short its still an interesting game. Theres not alot to it and the story is just OK, but theres a few cool puzzles that might slow you down a little, nothing to boggle your mind tho, it becomes easy to understand pretty quickly and doesnt take long to get through it all, it also has some strange real life cut scenes/videos which makes the game a little weird, almost like a short film. The game wasnt quite what i expected but it turned out ok, its one of those casual games you will play just the once, but its not a bad one. It would be nice to see a follow up of this which seems to be the plan but hopefully its alot longer with tougher puzzles, id also like to see abit more exploration to make things a little more difficult when it comes to finding things and figuring bits out, but aside from that it looks good and plays well with no real complaints. Overall i have to say its a good quick and easy game with potential for the next installment, but if your gonna get this game grab it in a future bundle or something, its not worth the current price for a single play especially how short it is. Black Island is episodic cinematic point & click adventure game with pinch of puzzles, why pinch because they are fairly easy. After 57 minutes of gameplay and finishing the game Il jump straight on pros and cons; Pro's +Great overall sound (music, voice-acting, interactions) +Beautiful cinematic videos that are like 50% of the game ^^ +Easy puzzles if you arent good at them Con's -Although it will have sequels it is still too short for my taste -Easy puzzles if you are looking for challenging game Overall; It is fun and interesting game on short run. If you ask me is it worth 6,99, that depends on your budget. I would instantly say it is worth, if it had achivements and trading cards. Game main focus was put on movie storytelling and it was made to perfection, but for rest of gameplay, puzzle solving, items using.. I think developers should put more time in to it. But we will see next episode what will bring us ^^ -Disclaimer- Key was provided by developer for testing the game and writing review, no other compensation was involved.
Black Island is an adventure point & click game. For now it is 1 episode which contains 4 chapters (approximately 1 hour of playing). The story is well-done and the atmosphere is gorgeous. The game's graphic looks amazing. It also has a video after each chapter that helps you go deeper into the story. The music, voice acting and sound is done really well. While the movie part of the game is done nearly perfectly, i can't say the same thing about the rest of it. The puzzles are very, very easy, so if you're looking for a challenging game you should go and find sth else. Also is is EXTREMELY short. Hope the following episodes will be longer. Overall I recommend that game. For me 6.99$ is too much, but if it is -50% take it without a doubt.

Its okay, nice atmosphere, but nothing special. A very very short game with not many really easy puzzles. I watched every video and my playtime was only 36 minutes. Too short.
Mediocre, unpolished, and short point&click adventure. Pros:

Good voice acting.
Decent graphics, probably real life photos processed by some Photoshop filters.
Cons:

Extremely short. I've finished the game in 70 minutes without using a walkthrough (I've checked the built-in hints once because
the cottage on a beach is really hard to spot
).
The story is one of the main selling points but is feels more like a teaser for some proper full-length game. Also it's hard to feel any emotions for anyone in such a short timeframe.
The minigames feel out-of-place, most of them have no reason to be there.
There is one dexterity based minigame, basically a QTE where you have press indicated buttons and if you fail you have to start over. It's quite difficult and it took me about 15 minutes (from the overall 70 minutes!) to complete. Such thing has no place in a point&click game!!
The character repeats the same sentences over and over again. He should react in a more clever way, indicating why the action isn't allowed. Sometimes it's downright confusing, like when
you're supposed to burn a door but when you use matches on it, he says: "It won't burn."

I don't like giving a thumb down to a small indie dev but this game is so subpar I just can't honestly recommend it.

Pros: still looks pretty decent Cons: * chapter 3 has a digital lock - do not leave the screen before solving it, otherwise game gets stuck and not work properly. * Simon says puzzle takes too long. Otherwise an okay title, but the plot is thinner than a human hair
