Interesting shooter with cute grafx. You use both controll sticks. One to steer around, one to aim. Some targets will destroy the sugar walls you laboriously build up to protect your sugarmuffin, others will lick your girlfriend ...ehrrrrrrmmm... to death. Your ammo is based on candy. There is not too much of it flying around, so be carefull with your aim. You also can use sugarbricks, flying bombs or the shop items to stop the licking orgy. Alltogether it's not an too easy game, which demands not only skills but also a litte bit of strategy. You surely don't wanna end up in front of the Boss without any ammo left. What I am missing is a bit more tutorial help. Took a little bit of time to figure out everything by myself. Birdcakes is definitely much better, strategic and slobber-juiced than asteroids.

This videogame makes me angry-happy, arcade hardcore and fast paced gameplay about cupcakes. Kind of good n' old endurance arcade game. Remenber Ren and Stimpy? A lot of humor in the art style inspirated in this iconic 90's dark comedy cartoon. Cupcakes against ungly flies, makes sense to me, I don't like flies either.

I love this video game is too much fun is too enjoyable and very well made it is a joy to play such a trained game and its mechanics are super good do not hesitate without seeing this game to buy them a pleasant smile, if you talk about art is very cute and that music that music is precious fence can be heard hours and hours without tiring, finally each level and even if you touch the same level of mechanics and the challenge of the game will keep you focused on surviving the flies which makes the game is always entertaining and dynamic

Fun, cute, good graphics, kinda hard, arcady game with a roguelite-like upgrade system

I first played this game on Xbox One about a year ago, near the game releasing. I fell in love with the fusion style jazz soundtrack, the funny story, the chill gameplay, the never ending load screen story, and have mentioned it at some point to everyone who loves the top down shooter/comical/fun/relaxed style bullet hell gameplay. I don't want to write a bloated review, other than to say I was that impressed with it on Xbox I bought it again on PC when it went on sale. Had I never purchased it on Xbox, I'd happily have spent at least $5 on it to support the developer(s?) in hope they'll keep making awesome, fun, unique games that I really had a blast playing. If you want a fun little underrated gem of a game, made with a ton of passion and love, do yourself a favor and pick up Birdcakes. Like me, I'd wager chances are solid you too will fall in love with the charm. :-)

A fast and exciting video game! It's as if Luftrausers merged with The Fairly OddParents, plus a responsive control and music according to the "pick and play" experience.

Being a huge fan of Green Lava Studio games I was really excited when they reached out to me to check out this new game. -What to expect: *2D side scroller *shooter *controller compatible (works great) *unlockable upgrades (using in game currency) *randomly generated maps/levels *cute graphics *challenging enemies *boss fights The story line itself is very strange but fits perfectly for this style of game and the characters in it. Easy to understand and start loading hours of gameplay into. ~There's even a feathered guest how shows up from a previous game. pretty fun defense shooter I wish I could change the default controls on the keyboard the game had really funky fps for me hovering between 45 and 50 until I changed AlternateSyncMethod=1 which had previously been set to 0 I would post that in the discussion group but having no knowledge of who is in charge of that place and the way they keep it I would rather not risk another community ban
