BioShock is a shooter unlike any you've ever played, loaded with weapons and tactics never seen. You'll have a complete arsenal at your disposal from simple revolvers to grenade launchers and chemical throwers, but you'll also be forced to genetically modify your DNA to create an even more deadly weapon: you.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 21 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I liked it. Really good first person game. Always had me on my toes. Cant believe it was released almost 20 years ago. Also loved hacking mini games.
I really wish they would make really tight fun action shooters like this again. This is my generations version of platformers going extinct.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Friccin epic and fun and y9o shouidl like really really play it its fun :)
play remastered for modern equipment
this may be the older version, but it was still a lot of fun to play. if you have never played bioshock before, it really kind of is like the next step from system shock. it is more simple than the things you had in the system series, but it works really well. gameplay might be a little clunky. but as you progress and get new weapons, and abilities the game kind of can speed up a bit and there funny enough are builds you can run to make your game more unique to play through. the system in this game, which will be refined in the sequel, has a separate menu for powers and weapons. and i do enjoy that you have to juggle wether you want to use your weapon or an ability like shock or fire. it makes combat a bit more tense, even if it can devolve into just spamming medkits while you get your ass whooped. graphically, some textures, if you get close enough, can look a little muddy but it all still looks pretty nice. it is a fun rundown 60's or so, underwater city. you can see how everything is falling to shambles and how everyone has sort of mutated trying to gene splice to perfection. all essentially crazy as you fight your way through many levels of rapture. music is nice, with a mix of their own and come of the era songs. which is fun to smack the record players and have the music come to a screeching halt too. the story kind of ends up being that you crashed into the ocean and luckly ended up near a tower which has some sort of submarine in it that takes you to the city of rapture, at the bottom of the ocean. from there you try to find your way out to get back to civilization, but along the way you help, or hurt, those few sane people left as you find out more sinister plots taking place as you end up being used. my only issues with this version of the game is that there were random crashes, which i think rarely happened but were triggered by menus. using shops or transitioning to another areas through the bathyspeheres. most of the sound effects can cut out or override one another in the heat of combat, so you might miss audio cues you would have ben aware of, like specific enemy sounds. a couple minor stutters or glitches on things, or one cutscene that ended up not being entirely in frame. but most ended up being minor enough, other than sounds, that it wasn't much of an issue. well other than, when the game crashed it would reset all your settings, so i would need to reapply my resolution and controller support.
primer juego que me pase en pc y no me decepciono, muy buena historia, armas, personajes, etc
its peam
Its a fun shooter with some cool powers and upgrades, like a streamlined system shock 2 but not really. there are a bunch of cool moments where the game studies a specific person in rapture and the game talks about their philosophy and their art but thats not what the game is really about, bioshock is auctually about looting everything you see, shooting big guns and using funny superpowers against drug addicts in a spooky underwater city and any pretentions about it being any more then that fall completely flat in my opinion. The twist did not work on me and now i dont get what the game is trying to say at all because it introduced a contrived brainwashing plot and magic words that can somehow make the protaganists heart stop i really thought it was lame and by that point the gameplay was getting stale anyway. it has some good characters to analyse but they all eventually dissapear from the plot and all your left with is some gangster mook taunting you with how good the writers thought the dumb twist was. the game has a serious powerscaling problem, once you unlock all the weapons and have most of the upgrades and tonics the game just increases the health of the small enemy selection and it looks and feels really stupid, by this point in the game i just kind of want to stop playing it because it turns into a spammy bulletsponge hellfest. i recommend the first 5 hours but after the twist im not sure if i can justify putting anymore time into "getting good" at this game, play on hard and take your time, leave the vitachambers on mabye. 7.2/10
BioShock is easily one of the greatest games of all time. The detail the devs put into crafting the city of Rapture is just top-notch. You can spend hours exploring Rapture and never get tired of it. The atmosphere, the details, and the overall 1960s vibes really immerse you in the world. You can feel emotions in the world and even from the enemies. They are not just some random fools that you have to kick their asses; they have their own uniqueness and character. And don't get me started on the story. Oh man, if you know, you know. If you don't, then better relive it yourself. No spoilers here. The combat is a bit tricky to get the hang of. The gameplay is pretty fast-paced, and mid-fight, it can be tricky to switch between different tonics and weapons. But once you get the hang of it, it is generally really fun. There are a variety of ways to deal with your enemies, and you can approach fights in different ways. The only improvement I think could be made is that there should be some stakes. Even if you die, you just respawn at a Vita-Chamber with no real loss whatsoever. In fact, they even reward you with a bit of health and EVE if you're low on them. Other than that, I don't think there is a single thing you can criticize about it. The graphics of the original, even though we have the remastered version, still hold up. You cannot tell me this game came out in 2007. Overall, I think it is a must-play for everybody, and I only have one thing to say: "Would you kindly play this game at least once."
