Peak Gaming
Do not but this game if you're trying to play the remaster on Mac. Crashes before I even get the option to start playing.
ABSOLUTE PEAK, everyone must experience this peak of a story
Bioshock is really fun, and it has aged extremely well given that it is almost 20 years old. Give it a play. Only real problem is that it runs out of steam near the ending, At that point in the game combat is trivialized by the upgraded plasmids and the incendiary crossbow. Pros: - Top tier sound design, music, and voice acting. - Timeless art direction, atmosphere, and lighting. - Engaging story, lore, and world-building. - Tense combat encounters allowing for different playstyles. Cons: - No reload canceling, or dual wielding plasmids and weapons - The half-baked little sister morality system. - That tedious escort mission right before the final boss. - The final boss. - The ending.
it was fun

best game OAT
Just like a splicer hooked on Adam, I became obsessed with Bioshock. Initially, BioShock put me off by how loud the game can get. While listening to an audio diary, you can hear enemies from another room, while your drone explodes in front of you. All mushing together into an inaudible mess. But if you can move past that and keep playing, you’ll experience a game that game companies now are too afraid to make. BioShock will place you in the broken city of Rapture, giving you weapons and abilities, encouraging creativity, and making Rapture your sandbox. Its story will keep you invested until the end, which culminates in one of gaming’s greatest plot twists. So, would you kindly give BioShock a try. 10/10.
Great RPG-FPS with some horror elements. It plays like a stripped down System Shock (a bit like Prey for a more modern comparison). Unforgettable setting and plot, and great characters. This game has amazing environmental storytelling. When I say horror elements, I mostly mean sound design and some very minor jumpscares; it's less scary than just tense. The one flaw is the combat, the guns just don't feel very good and that's made it age very poorly, though the combat is tolerable and not challenging, more just repetitive. Also note that a lot of my playtime was spent with the game on in the background, or on old playthroughs from years ago. I'd say you can reasonable expect to be done with this game in less than 10 hours and see almost everything.
