Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Old but gold 👍

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Liked first ones controls more but this is better quality for sure
This game is excellent. It is an improvement on combat and general gameplay from the first. However, the story suffers. Playing as a big daddy is cool, but the father/daughter relationship seems forced, and the antagonist's ideals are airy and tossed around nonstop. If you want a general challenge, play on hard. If you want to FEEL like a big daddy, play on medium or easy to pummel everyone! Also, USE THE DRILL as much as you can!
O Jogo Crasha
Me dói escrever uma análise ruim de um game que eu estava tão ansioso pra jogar, mas não consigo progredir pq fica crashando.
otimo
Become The Big Daddy!
Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and their own survival. NOTE: This review is for the original, and not the Remastered version! I’d say the artstyle in this game is a huge reason why it still looks amazing. Exploring an underwater city and seeing the sky scrapers underwater just looks so surreal. I also really enjoy the 1960s aesthetic. The UI is easy to look at and not so confusing which is also a big plus. Enemy design has seen a slight increase compared to its original game, although I think the sisters look creepier in the first game. I’d say visually speaking, this game looks incredible and it holds up in my opinion. Yes it may not have the greatest graphics, but the art style and atmosphere is still really impressive. 🎮Gameplay - In Bioshock 2, you play as a Big Daddy. These guys were a fierce enemy in the first game, and now you are one of them. Now you still fight them in this game, and they still offer a fierce challenge! This game is very similar to Bioshock 1. You can find vendors and even hack them to get a free item. You also have these abilities called Plasmids, which are like special abilities that all feel unique and useful for specific scenarios. Many weapons are similar from Bioshock 1 with some new ones included. The game offers a good challenge of ammo management, currency management (since you can upgrade abilities, weapons, and yourself), and many challenging enemies. The game is fun and offers a good challenge for everyone. The biggest gripe I only really have is that the FOV sucks. I think the FOV is like at 70 and there is no way to change it in the settings. I'm sure there is a way to fix it in the games ini settings, but I didn’t want to mess around with that. It looks fine on the Steamdeck, but not so good on a big monitor. 📜Story - I personally really enjoyed the story, especially since I played the first game and got with the world around Bioshock 2. The first half of the game was incredible and intense, then the second half felt a bit rushed. I still enjoyed the Bioshocks 2’s story, but it could have been much better, especially the second half. I don’t like that some interesting characters just felt forgotten about, which gives an impression of it being rushed, and it’s not all that different and unique of a story. It’s still good, but I kinda was expecting a unique story with some twists. 🕛Playtime - This main story is like around 10+ hours to beat. It’s not a super long game to complete. I did get all of the achievements so it can take around 30+ if you are into getting 100% achievement completion. 🎧Sound - The sound design is great. The ambiance in the underwater city is superb, and the enemy voice lines in the distance adds to the amazing atmosphere. The gun sounds are decent, the voice acting is great, and the music is awesome! ❗Bugs❗- The game has some annoying bugs. Audio glitches can happen at times, and the game will instantly crash if you are playing on DX10, now there is a guide on steam (I'll link below) that will help with the crashes. Luckily, I didn't really notice any other issues. 🔅Performance - The game runs like a charm! I think this game can run on any PC out there at this point. I even tested this on the Steam Deck and I was getting 90fps with no issues or crashes. I hit my max refresh rate (240hz) and on max settings in 1600p and haven’t come across a single frame drop. It’s an old game, so I’d expect you to be able to run this with ease. ✔️Pro’s✔️

Great optimization
Dark atmosphere
Play as the Big Daddy
Incredible visuals for 2010
Amazing 1960's aesthetic
Great sound design & music
Many hidden locations have good loot
Meaningful mortality choices/mechanics
Much improved gunplay compared to BS1
Plasmid abilities are fun & creates strategy
Vendors around to buy ammo, health, and upgrades
Can create character builds (focus on specific abilities)
❌Con’s❌

Terrible FOV
Some audio glitches
Underwhelming antagonist
Story is not as impressive as the first game
Crashes with DX10 (Fix in the guides section below)
🏆Rating - 6/10 This game would be an 8/10 if not for the crashing issues! Wait for a sale since this game goes on sale often for real cheap (like $5). 🔗Conclusion - Bioshock 2 is a great experience! It offers a sci-fi feel with a mix of horror and action. This brings everything good about Bioshock 1 and makes it even better! Its atmosphere, the gunplay and mechanics are all improved in some way. The only true complaints I have are the stability issues (crashing issues), which can be fixed, and the horrible fixed FOV. I was gonna give this a solid 9/10 game, but the technical issues dropped it back for me. If this concerns you, give the remastered version a try! Besides that, this game is a wonderful experience that I think many should explore. It’s a true classic in my eyes. https://store.steampowered.com/app/8850/BioShock_2/ Links to help you in Bioshock 2: [olist]
Permanent FOV Fix
Crashing of Bioshock 2 Solved
Long Grind Multiplayer Achievements via Solo Play (Bioshock 2) [/olist]
I had a blast until last levels where the game started to crash. Lost hours of progress and after a while game became unplayable due to crashes every 5 minutes.
