Dont understand all the hate. Biomutant is basically Crimson Desert but with a different tone and setting. Awesome game once all the mechanics click.
thought id give it a chance since it was on sale for a decent bit but felt like i was butting heads with core game mechanics throughout the tutorial and didn't think id be willing to put up with them to see whatever else the game had to offer. the fighting felt really clunky and i get what they were going for but think they got a little too caught up on doing such a stylized approach to combat that it makes the rest of the game suffer. which is a shame because aside from the tutorial trying to mimic the flagship trailer the world design looks really good.
Sadly the whole crafting principle doesnt really matter, because the gear one gets from sidequests are so much more stronger than anything one could craft with 20 hours of looting. So in hindsight just ignore all of the loot and also dont play on the hardest difficulty because it makes the enemies feel all the same with the same health pool on everything. Also using meele just seems worse than ranged, same as the the unlockable psi spells. The stats are weirdly capped, like sure you can put 200 points into strenght but will you feel the difference? Nope. They also shouldnt have made the world scale with your level, that ♥♥♥♥ makes you just feel the same strength at all points and the only thing that matters is if you got a good sidequest weapon. Dont even get me started on the Story, which feels like a lecture on sustainability but sadly is never clever or funny. Game runs like ♥♥♥♥ aswell. Overall dont play it, there is just nothing there.
Good controller support, but poor game optimization. Controller felt good to use when the game was running well. However, the game is poorly optimized, with constant FPS microstutters and frequent frame drops (by more than half). I have a pretty good PC, and don't have these issues on most games, and from looking through the community discussions, it seems that these issues are pretty common. I wasn't really into the story to begin with, so the performance issues deter me even more from trying to continue playing. I will try to play some more of it, but I feel like I'm trying to force myself to finish something just because I paid $10 for it.

Story Rich. Great Graphics. Combat felt good. Like the open world-ness with Different looks for each biome. This was an Interesting game & cool that they made a game pretty much a post-climate disaster story. No bugs or crashes. Encountered 1 small visual bug but nothing that affected the gameplay. I did like this game & enjoyed but not loved it. But this game for me is a 7.5/10. Though i do Recommend this game.
