Between Two Castles - Digital Edition

Between Two Castles (of Mad King Ludwig) is adapted from a board game I've never played. You build two castles with room tiles and try to place them in ways that give you the most points. You play alongside an AI teammate who also puts down tiles. You can sometimes set each other up for better scoring combinations. In each round you pick two tiles and put one in each castle. Only your lowest-scoring castle counts toward your final score at the end though. You can play against AI or in multiplayer (if you can find someone to play, that is). The tutorial could use some work since it's pretty basic and doesn't explain everything you need to know. It's not hard to figure out, but I was constantly confused about how the scoring worked. The game also never explains why you can't put certain tiles in specific places. There were some small glitches like text skipping, but at least the art style looks good and the room tiles are bright and clear. The game works fine overall. It's not super polished, but it's decent enough for a few rounds if you want a puzzle strategy game. I probably won't play it again since it felt pretty average. Since it was free and didn't crash on me though, I'll give it a positive review.
