Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Between Horizons is set aboard the Zephyr, humanity's first generation ship en route to another star. You assume the role of Chief of Security Stella, who was born on the ship 24 years ago. Dive into the conspiracy behind the incident that threatens to disrupt the Zephyr's social order and foil its mission.
Between Horizons is a modern 2.5D pixel art adventure that brings a branching narrative into a semi-open world. The team at DigiTales has applied numerous lessons from their first game Lacuna and proven solutions to detective game design problems to maximize player agency in the investigation process – all the while maintaining the tight pacing of a meaningful story that will ask you to reevaluate your moral compass and make increasingly tough decisions as the situation aboard the ship spirals out of control.

An Unusual Adventure: Between Horizons merges investigation gameplay with a branching sci-fi story in an ever-expanding Metroidvania-style environment.
Think For Yourself: The flexible evidence system lets you assign clues to cases, confront people about them, and solve any case with at any point in time. Everything you find on the ship may or may not be connected to the mystery at hand.
Failure is Very Much an Option: There are no second chances — submitting an incorrect solution means that consequences may follow as the story branches and ends based on your decisions.
Set Your Course: Underneath the game's exciting and plausible sci-fi plot lies a number of thought-provoking problems inviting you to weigh intergenerational responsibility against personal freedom.
A New Dimension: Timeless pixel art merges with 3D environments and modern visual effects to create a unique art style. Prefer old-school 2D? No problem, you can switch any time!

Interesting gameplay, fine art style, nice music and quite original story. Good game overall, although it could be better if made more "interactive". A lot of times people doesn't respond to the clues/evidence(they have the same response to most things). Also the game could be a bit longer and there should be more different endings.
I've expected some classic point&click old-school adventure. Instead I've played absolutely brilliant detective adventure with unique clue mechanics and excellent stories. Pros: - entertaining and complex stories - detective puzzles where you need to think (even use pen&paper) - brilliant idea to store information instead of items into "inventory" - beautiful graphics and music - smooth steam deck controls integration Cons (these are just cosmetic nit picks): - orange text on highlighted blue background is hard to read - voiced text have no background and are also hard to read sometimes - a lot of loading screens, like when entering almost every room, luckily short ones Could be a bit more polished but I love it: 9/10 PS: be prepared for tons of text to read, It's almost like a book with graphics ;-)

I enjoy almost everything about this game. Personally I always feel I'd like to know about things people noticed negatively about a game and discover the positives myself. So here are the only two things I didn't like. The game really lacks a mechanism to find out where a specific person is on the ship at any given time which in some cases means you just litterally have to just check every conceivable place they could be, workplace, public zones, residential areas. For some people like engineers and technicians this could really be anywhere at all. One of the major story beats is something that happens relatively early but doesn't exactly make very much sense sci-fi-technically (
the ship's habitation ring stops unreasonably suddenly, causing some mayhem
) which is really not a major gripe. I love the pixel art style, I like the control scheme, I liked the soundtrack enough to buy it and I very much like that the outcome is VERY MUCH up to your choices along the entire game. I've seen some people complain about "the ending" and really all i can say is, play it again and make better choices next time. Tho even in my first playthrough I felt I got to an ending I could very much live with.
A solid little indie story game with a few minor issues. The atmosphere and the aesthetics are great, especially seeing how the ship changes over the course of the game, it makes it feel somewhat alive. The story is pretty good, though a lot of the twists are foreseeable and very trope-driven, so as long as you don't expect your mind to be blown you'll probably enjoy this story. My biggest gripe with it is how the game fails to give you actual dilemmas through its choices. Most choices are "against the codex" or "for the codex", but there's rarely a good reason to uphold the codex other than for the sake of it (i. e. getting the relevant achievement). I'd take this as criticism towards tradition, authoritarianism or the rigidity of laws, which is a message I can get behind, but it doesn't make for an interesting game if your choices are this one-sided. The music, sound and voice acting are all rather good and while the gameplay feels like a step down from Lacuna, it's still complex enough to work as a vehicle for the story without ever making you feel stupid or overwhelmed. All in all it's an enjoyable experience!
Go play Lacuna instead. That one had a superb music and visual style. Story is good in both games. Here mix of 3d and 2d looks lazy after Lacuna. And what is up with load times between screens that has less data than games on NES, and it has to load for seconds on a system that has 16Gb? I'm leaving Yes in "Do you recommend this game" only for people to find Lacuna after this one. I hope next game won't have 200 clues in a list to scroll every time you need to talk second time to someone.
This game was a very enjoyable experience. Its scope is remarkably ambitious, especially given the constraints of the point-and-click format. The world feels surprisingly vast, capturing much of the atmosphere and freedom typically associated with AAA open-world titles. Achieving that sense of scale within this genre is an impressive accomplishment. That same scale, however, can occasionally work against the experience. Even with a fast-travel system, the amount of backtracking required can become repetitive and, at times, tiring. Traversing the world remains engaging early on, but repeated journeys across familiar locations eventually begin to wear thin. The gameplay mechanics are similar to those that prevented me from fully engaging with the developer's previous title, Lacuna. Here, however, those shortcomings are offset by a strong narrative and a cast of compelling characters. The influences of Mass Effect and, to a lesser extent, the original Deus Ex are evident throughout, particularly in the emphasis on player choice, world-building, and dialogue-driven storytelling. The story does much of the heavy lifting, helping to sustain interest through the game's more tedious stretches. While the decision-based structure appears designed to encourage multiple playthroughs, I'm not convinced many players will be eager to revisit the game given its length and the amount of travel involved. That said, my first playthrough remained engaging from start to finish. Overall, I would give it a solid B. It's not likely to become an all-time favorite, but it's a worthwhile experience that I can comfortably recommend. Most players who enjoy narrative-driven games will find enough here to justify both their time and money.
Overall good mystery game. Interesting and fairly unique setting. Loved the 2.5D aesthetic and music was good. All the cases felt fair, though some of the early ones felt a bit too easy. Only complaints I had were that running around the ship was maybe a bit too slow. A faster running speed or slightly more fast travel points could have helped, for example in the maintenance section. And I felt like characters didn't react to enough presented clues. Characters wouldn't react to any clue that wasn't immediately useful for a case, even if they, in my mind at least, should have had something to see about the presented clue. An example, presenting their own name to them could have had them talk a bit about themselves, flesh out their background or something similar instead of just saying "that's me". Or presenting them the name of their child or another person to talk about how they feel about that character. Just anything other then "I have nothing to say about that", I think would have gone a long way to make the world feel more alive. Still overall I enjoyed the game and look forward to the devs next one.
