Le jeu est très bien réalisé, l'ambiance rend l'immersion absolument incroyable J'ai adoré me prendre la tête sur les puzzles bien élaborés, si vous avez aimé des jeux du style Portal ou Viewfinder, je recommande fort

Beta MAX by Nexcide transports players into an immersive puzzle-solving world where the power of rewind is at their fingertips. With an authentic retro feel and many customizable graphics settings, including multiple resolutions and aspect ratios, Beta MAX allows players to fully immerse themselves in this unique, nostalgic experience. In Beta MAX, you find yourself inside a 1980s-inspired world, where you control a character traversing a variety of puzzle-filled rooms. Your goal is to solve each room's puzzle in order to progress to the next area. The gameplay revolves around using the VCR buttons to manipulate objects and navigate through the levels. With the unique ability to rewind time using your VCR remote, you can reverse or accelerate the movements and actions of objects in the environment, as well as your own movements. This time-bending mechanic is essential for solving puzzles that require precise timing, coordination, and manipulation of the surroundings. As you advance through the game, you'll discover power-ups and items to help overcome obstacles and unlock new areas. By experimenting with the rewind function, you can create chains of actions that result in complex puzzle solutions. The game offers a moderate level of difficulty, ensuring a balanced experience for both casual and experienced players. Controller support for Xbox offers a variety of play options, Beta MAX will challenge and engage players without feeling overwhelmed. A rewind function serves as a handy "undo" option, allowing players to retrace their steps and rethink strategies when necessary. The VCR timer, which can be disabled, adds an additional layer of challenge. The tutorial is available to guide newcomers, and although the game is currently limited to English, the developers have provided options such as volume sliders, rebindable controls, and V-sync and FPS settings to ensure an optimal experience for all players. Embarking on a puzzle adventure like no other, Beta MAX combines the best elements of classic gaming with innovative mechanics, ensuring a captivating journey for any player seeking an exciting and thought-provoking puzzle game. Immaculate retrowave vibes, with satisfying puzzle design that makes good and full use of time control mechanics at your disposal, don't miss out on this gem!
Very nice game to play. A good puzzle game similar to Portal. What sets it apart is the fact you can play with time instead of portals. The puzzles are not too easy but not too difficult either. My current time played it a good indication if you want to fully complete the game. As of right now it features 20 different levels, each a little more challenging than the last.
What a great game. Found it hard till I realized how to do it. Still challenging and loads of fun. I recommend getting the game you will enjoy it.
The game opens by giving you VHS Tape titled "Do NOT Play", a bold suggestion to start your player's experience... Thankfully, Beta MAX is absolutely worth a go! While ultimately the game is 'another entry in a long line of first-person box-and-button puzzler-platformer with a gimmick,' it has quite a bit of charm and merit to at least stand out. The core mechanic, being able to rewind time with some objects or spaces being immune to the rewind is introduced and presented well, it lends to some interesting puzzles that never get so difficult or unwieldy that the game is frustrating on daunting, but also advance steadily in difficulty. By the end of the game you're prepared to tackle the thoughtful puzzles and more advanced movement tech. The puzzles range from 1m to 5m, with some being broken into a 'multistage' format within the same puzzle. Each puzzle has 3 challenges associated with it: "beat par time", "complete with no errors (deaths)", and "find the secret." The par time is a very fun challenge that always feel doable with a mistake or two, but still tight - several puzzles offer slightly faster shortcuts that can shave off valuable seconds if you can find/execute them. The no-errors often comes free with the par time as dying requires a rewind that takes that valuable time. The secrets are a mix of 'clever use of the map and tools' and 'finding the weird geometry sticking out behind an edge.' All in all they add some replayability to the puzzles that I felt were worth tackling (I did 100% the game). The visuals, music, and presentation are all fine and well suited for the game, I won't say they're changing the game but they're suitable. The throbbing 80's synthwave and electro-neon sunset in a surrealist landscape work perfectly for the vibe the game is going for, and the game is short enough they don't really stay their welcome ever. It's hard to stand out in the modern gaming landscape, but the audio-visual experience is perfectly adequate and fun, if simple. My only complain visually is some maps have a 'cluttered' feel. Pieces of geometry that draw the eye or end up pulling attention but serve no purpose. It's a very basic palate and I understand using what you have to add some visual depth, and while the puzzle progression is good, the level design isn't always "trim and tight." The controls are responsive and good, as a long time first person k+m user that enjoys twitchy fast paced games it plays very well. I worry that one or two puzzles would give a casual player some trouble with the technical demands, but overall it plays very well. Ultimately, a recommendation if you like this sort of game, with enough fun and unique ideas to absolutely be worth the time.
Quite a nice puzzler, got some head scratching puzzles, somewhat simple but effective visuals and matching tunes. Sadly seems quite underrated, give it a go if you like fps puzzlers!
Its just fantastic.. If you think its some sort of Portal clone without portals, you are wrong.. The levels are designed to make excellent use of the main rewind mechanic..
Put a timer in your game and they'll try to beat it ;) The puzzles are really interesting. You can definitely feel the Portal inspiration, but the time management really adds something new.
