One of the best games i ever played. A lot of levels and physics! Graphics is similar to tabs but it's really cool
8/10 I absolutely love this game. It's got some expected quirks for a slightly comical medieval siege game, but it's brilliant. The structural integrity system is a nice mechanical flavor over similar games. The rest of the mechanics are wonderful as well. A few 'magical' liberties are taken but it feels generally applicable to real world engineering which is great. There is some strange physics wobbling and glitching which can be expected, but it plays fairly intuitively. I can accurately apply basic flight principles to a plane or drone and expect some good results from my solution. It does feel a little arcade-like in a few ways, but mostly in good ways. The graphics feel naturally nostalgic and almost toy-like. I love the visual effects as well, explosions feel like a good mix of realistic and silly. Some automation and user control is occasionally lacking but it has enough to build for most use cases. I was able to successfully create a functional auto-stabilization gyro so I'd say it's quite satisfactory. An advanced multipart logic or math block of sorts that allows more complex logic, almost script-like, would be infinitely valuable as logic gates take up a lot of space on a contraption. Keybinding feels good, property tweaking isn't bad at all, and creating new mechanical tools out of existing ones is mostly intuitive (e.g. large powered hinges out of pistons and smaller unpowered hinges or longer pistons using pulleys and sliders.) The little enemies and animals are adorable and silly, but they can be frustrating at times. Their pathfinding is very inconsistent, they often get stuck running into walls. I love the bouncing knights running at my siege machines, it's incredibly amusing. The campaign is a short but very fun experience. It's great to have a use case for my vehicles as opposed to strictly open-world games. Water DLC seems a bit performance-intensive graphically and somewhat computationally compared to the other levels. As far as things I wish were in the game so far: More 'siege' themed levels. A lot of the game revolves around solving puzzles and leveling small helpless towns. The final level of each campaign comes closer, but I generally don't feel like I'm getting to siege anything. It feels like a catapult or trebuchet is a bit slow and unhelpful in this game as generally another tool does it better. It would be great to have more siege themed levels like crossing a moat and bypassing a large castle wall or needing to scale a cliff outpost that you can't just drive around. Powered hinges and a powered small wheel (with an attachment point) would be great as well. Thank you for reading! Happy sieges!
