Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 31 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Framerate drops, enemies that can attack you while you are locked at a save point and can't defend yourself, amateurish glitches, redfinig keys is a chore (default Unity menu), abysmal Spanish translation... This game is so barebones and unpolished it's hard to believe it was released in this state without a second thought. This is not "retro vibes", this is just plain shoddy, half-assed work.
What the hell happened ?! I was sold this game by a video title stating it was a "Conan Metroidvania". I had made my mind up immediately to check this out. Then I saw it was a sequel, so naturally I bought the first game. The first Beholgar is a *perfect* video game. I mean that, I am an old man that has played thousands of games over the course of what feels like several lifetimes. Beholgar sings in its design, especially given its intentions, play loop, and the fact that it was made by like one person. I was blown away, I devoured the game. I was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excited for Beholgar 2. Bro, after the SIXTH time i was able to accidentally jump over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ walls and fall out of the level without any way to fix the issue (sometimes I lost the pause function somehow ?), I was ... the word is going too far, I accept that, but I feel *betrayed*. - The control response time is laughable. - I can file my taxes faster than this slacker can swing his sword - Give the bosses a pattern, this randomly picking from a moveset ♥♥♥♥ has to go, you can either have perfect precision combat or random skill-based combat, you can't do both, it makes winning feel like it was just a matter of luck - The i-frames just sometimes don't happen, it's a 50/50 chance if the thing you've never taken damage doing suddenly changes its mind and kills you. - the hitboxes are mysterious and elusive creatures beyond the understanding of sane men (they're bad) - WHY DOES EVEYTHING KEEP FALLING THROUGH THE FLOOR - Limited, irreplaceable resources fall through the floor or disappear if you accidentally break a node and move on, die, or have to load (BECAUSE YOU FELL OVER THE WALL AGAIN), that's it they're gone. Luckily the upgrades do nothing. - Why don't the upgrades do anything ? This is student work, from someone who has already proven themself to be a master. It makes no sense, it really makes no sense at all. What the hell happened ? Is the game unfinished? Was this game secretly made before the first game and just released later ? I don't know. If you played and enjoyed "Beholgar", and you want the sequel, I would definitely get this game. Of course you should, but manage your expectations; because something went very wrong ... somehow. I am hoping I get to change this review. Serkan, if you see this, brother I *want* to be your biggest fan. Please don't let it end like this, you're amazing.

For some unknown reason, I'm only getting an average of 15-30fps in this game. There are literally no options to adjust the settings, so I have no idea why the performance is so poor. My rig can handle the latest AAA games on ultra settings, yet I can't play Beholgar 2, which only requires a dual-core processor and a 10-year-old GPU. The optimization is terrible
2 softlocks in 10 minutes, one jumping to the left after getting Air Dash and one when interacting with the save shrine and pressing escape to exit the menu, it let me move around but the 4 buttons of the save shrine were stuck on the screen and coudln't interact with it no more. I can't recommend a game that breaks on a menu screen so easily.
Is this game a little janky? Yes. Does that add to the retro vibes? Also yes.
sometimes the key inputs don't work and it's infuriating, yes, but it's a very fun and satisfying game to play. love the ambience, the music and environmental art, and all the sword and sorcery vibe.
Beholgar II is, just like the first game, a mixed bag. Great art & music (slightly weaker than the first game imo), the new 3D-Sprites look great and are very well animated, the leveldesign is solid and the bosses are MUCH better than those in the first game. However, the game is full of bugs, the controls are not very responsive, and it's very short.
Best part is the art Otherwise it's pretty half baked. very basic combat. unresponsive controls. parry and charge attack mechanics that aren't worth using. barely qualifies as a metroidvania. quite a few bugs. So can't recommend it, unless you're a true barbarian fan.
I have played thru all of this developers game, and I have to say, they do improve with each one. This is the most recent game (as of 2026) and it is by far the best looking, and most enjoyable of their games. They added a map to this game which is the biggest improvement over Beholgar 1. It is basically a combat-focused Metroidvania (or Castlevania if you will), with some platforming elements to it. It looks good, the character moves well, the enemy variety is decent, and I did enjoy the boss battles. Check out this game, as well as the developers previous games if you like to support small-studio, Indie PC games that are fun to play and nice to look at.
