In The Devil is in the Details, is an Anomaly detection -meets- Escape Room - meets Survival Horror hybrid, played from a first-person perspective. You find yourself trapped in a hellish mansion. Each step forward is a gamble in this ever-changing nightmare, where no two playthroughs are alike. Explore and investigate your surroundings and try to beat the devil at his own game, by placing talismans on cursed objects, while trying to survive with limited resources against the many deadly traps and foes that lurk in the shadows, as well as having to deal with the pranks demons and the devil throw at you.

4 distinct campaigns: Each one of the 4 trials features a large, sprawling and distinct mansion, each with unique trials to conquer, offering many hours of gameplay.
The Prank System™: Introduces randomized pranks, ensuring a fresh, unpredictable experience and keeping players on their toes. There's a lot of variety in these, ranging from sliding on the floor, reversed controls, and other unexpected modifiers that will provide a fun challenge for players.
Side quests: Each trial has 30 mini-arbiters hiding throughout the mansions waiting to be collected, as well as a secret side quest that will be hard to crack. These provide countless more hours of gameplay for completionists.
Randomized Cursed Objects: Every venture into the game offers a unique challenge, ensuring a fresh experience with each playthrough.
Time is your most precious resource: Time is your health. Explore the different mansions while keeping an eye on the time, and beware of enemies that will try to consume it. Use potions to increase time, just keep in mind they come in limited quantities.
Summon your inner Detective: Sharpen your observation skills as you observe and recall changes in your environment to progress.
Talisman Placement: Use mystical talismans to cleanse objects twisted by demonic influence.
Demonic Traps: Navigate, outwit, and disarm devilish traps that lurk around every corner.
Eerie Atmosphere: Immerse yourself in a chilling game against the forces of darkness, set against a backdrop of haunting visuals and sounds.
Survival: The demons will do whatever it takes to prevent you from finalizing the rituals, from physically assaulting you to engaging in mind games. You must use your wits and utilize your environment to trap or destroy the demons.
Limited Resources and Route Planning: Create the best plan of attack to avoid foes(or lead them to traps) while managing the limited environmental resources at your disposal as well as your time.
Customize your Experience: Completely customize the game to your needs and liking. If the game is too difficult, intense, or you just want to focus on doing side quests without the nerve-wrecking intensity of the default experience, you can individually turn off enemies, traps, jump scares or ghosts, thus providing everyone with lots of modifiers to really give you an unique experience fitted to your needs.

This is a really well crafted anomaly game! What at first glance might seem like a simple enough task, if you use a particular system of remembering at least, still becomes scary and daunting. The atmosphere really escalates through the game, while still retaining a nice feeling of humor. If I'd give it a vague description I'd say: "Jigsaw's deranged cousin meets person and decides to mess with them". Also, really nice devs! Told me I apparently (at the writing of this review) hold the world record (speedrun) for this game!
This game has really been something really different to any horror that i have played before i would 100% recommend this game, it is a challenging puzzle game that rewards careful observation and will test your limits in a haunting atmosphere, and fun jump scare, creepy ghost and monsters, sound track is also great with really great voice acting really feels as if your in the room and watch out the devil likes to play with you keyboard, style of play and will even make things more tense go and Enjoy this great game HideWorksGames thank you for this masterpiece
This game has been really fun to play. Normally I stay away from Horror-based games, but it still has me wanting to come back and play the other Trials.
Different take on an anomaly game, filled with enemies, puzzles and mind games. A nice challenge for those who want something more out of an anomaly game! And a cozy mode for those who wouldn't enjoy the extra flare. Also great voice acting and nice devs :)
It was really cool and scary, especially when you walk past objects and they start making creepy sounds. I like games like that, highly recommend.

I was very fortunate & played this game back when it was just a demo. I LOVED IT then! I love having a game I can replay but I also enjoy some good spooks along the way. Having seen how far the game has come from the demo to the official release... it is insane! So much was added! I love having the option to turn off the ghosts/baddies, the traps, ect. It makes it nice having the option to chase down those *Arby* Dolls without fearing my rear will be kissed by the demons! I'm so happy to have another game to play during spooky season!

I played this game for the first time almost two days ago and I am honestly not sure why this hasn't gotten way more attention. It's an Observation Duty // Exit 8 style game but with a twist on how things are identified. Instead of looking at everything in a room, you focus on specifics while being terrified throughout with the intention of making you forget. Spoiler: It was working! I highly recommend giving this game a go, the developer is really lovely and even popped by my stream to show support and hear feedback!
Fun, challenging and has replay value. solid 8 out of 10 for me and doesn't break the bank, check it out.
