Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 25 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Less is (Not) More

I love the presentation, visual flare and soundtrack but it is boring to play through, unfortunately.
Olija is a competently made game that just didn't leave much of an impression. The harpoon mechanics have a satisfying snap to them and the atmosphere has a genuinely moodier, more melancholic tone than most games in this space, which sets it apart visually even if it doesn't do enough with that foundation. The hat system is the clearest example of a good idea that doesn't get developed far enough. There's real potential in swapping abilities on the fly but once you find what works the incentive to experiment largely disappears, and a game this short doesn't have the runway to build that system into something that feels meaningful. You end up settling into a comfortable option early and sticking with it for the rest of the runtime, which undercuts what should have been one of the more interesting parts of the experience. The brevity is a double edged thing. A few hours is about right for what the game is trying to do, but it also means nothing gets enough time to breathe or develop. The story gestures at something emotionally resonant and the world has an intriguing quality to it, but neither gets the space it would need to actually land. Personally this was the game that made me reassess how much patience I actually have left for pixel art 2D platformers as a genre. That might say more about taste than it does about the game, but it's worth being honest about. If you're already feeling the fatigue with that style, Olija is unlikely to be the thing that pulls you out of it. If it's on deep sale and the aesthetic genuinely appeals to you, there's something here. Otherwise it's easy to skip.
Overall a fun experience. However, I have many gripes: - As a completionist, I do not appreciate the inability to backtrack to many locations, after completing them, nor the lack of a notification that the area will close after completing it, nor the lack of a notification when entering the final encounter on my first playthrough, signifying that I am unable to go back or start a New Game+. I understand that this is to give a sense of finality, but I think that after beating the final boss, you should have the option to go back and gather everything. - Neither lore nor many mechanics are properly explained, at least in my opinion. The story felt very messy and under-developed at points, but is mostly followable. - There are a plethora of fun and interesting mechanics that are only used once. This game and its combat system and mechanics could've been extended into a much longer, more engaging game with its strong foundation. - Although the combat system has extreme potential and fun mechanics and quirks, the enemies aren't hard enough to counter random move spam, and there is next to no penalty for dying at any point. The combat system could be expanded upon and utilized properly in a boss rush gamemode, or a horde gamemode, or anything of that sort. Movement felt clunky at times, and combat, while occasionally satisfying, never demanded more than very simple inputs. - The only way to obtain two of the hats is through getting shells, which are only obtainable from the Filap islands or the scavenger. When getting items from the former, the player is already at endgame, making the hats mostly pointless save for the very last fight. - I appreciated the art style at certain points, but throughout, I felt as though the art style detracted from necessary detail for the environment. At those points, the environment felt simple and not immersive, where everything is blocky and undetailed. - There is no incentive to gathering all the ships in a bottle, despite them being a collectible. If there is, it's too troublesome due to the previously mentioned de-incentivized backtracking. I don't believe there's any incentive to gathering castaways or music boxes (at least not one that affects the game substantially), aside from the respective achievements. - I liked the hat system, but money began to feel pointless very quickly, as you could find it anywhere and there was little use for it. Same with materials, as they are only used for hats. - This game is very slow-paced. Some might appreciate it, but I found myself growing impatient at times while simply walking along. - The dialogue at certain points feels like it's trying to imitate poetry but not gaining enough depth. Despite these criticisms, I did have fun playing the game, and especially the bosses and music. There were some sentimental moments, and I did enjoy the game. 6.5/10.
Mostly musically but kinda graphically, this game reminds me of the OG Jordan Mechner's Prince of Persia games (The Shadow & The Flame, IYKYK). But in every other aspect it's smoother, more fun, and has a better story (albeit with far less challenge). Seriously, just watch the animated trailer, and if you dig the vibe of that, the game matches it. Nuff said
Overall, i think this is a little great game, the controls are fine, the art is great, the music is great, it has good replayability in the search of the bottled ships, a great package overall. I find that its short enough to encourage multiple runs to search for the missing parts, but a lot of "cutscenes" are not skippable, witch bogs it a lot imho, it gets tiring because of that, I would not have completed all archivements if i had to look for all of the bottled ships, a great decision in that front. 7/10, buy it on sale and if you like the artstile.
Encontrei por acaso, estava no tédio e resolvi jogar, e me surpreendi!! O jogo me conquistou logo no começo, quando apresentou o combate.
The extremely clunky linear storytelling and a lot of railroading stop this from being really great, but it has a fantastic combat system and a beautiful score. 6/10
