A Demo of the game is now available!
Although Beast Mode: Night of the Werewolf is not officially rated, its intended rating is Teen 13+ due to cartoon violence and crude humor.

Generally a pretty good game for the price and what the game is overall about. Probably the best $0.99 I've ever spent really, this game is as said in the game description a goofy arcade game where you play as a werewolf and kill hippies throughout the whole game and its pretty good looking maps. Although this game doesn't have any kind of story it is expected for a game like this and shouldn't be something to look for in this game. If this game sold better here on steam the developers might have added a multiplayer to this game maybe- I don't know multiplayer in a game like this would be really cool. I would generally recommend this game if you like the combination of playing as a werewolf plus goofy things
The Updated Beast Mode: Night of the Werewolf is a fun and enjoyable experience. Learning the quickest routes and hoping the hippies run where you want them too make playing the levels, new and classic, challenging; and the new abilities help make maintaining the combos easier. However, after playing I found some things I must address. Progression between maps is very tedious in that you must play the same map multiple times (sometimes to a numbing degree) to unlock the next level. Also a major bug that may get addressed. Spamming an ability locks you from using your abilities or even attacking, but if you touch a hippie it dies lol. Overall, a fantastic update to this game, a good time killer if you want to hear Wilhelm screams and hippies yelling, "I am one with the universe." 8/10
Beast Mode: Night of the Werewolf is an Unreal Engine asset flip where the "developers" took a bunch of store assets and combined them with a lulzy third person brawler template. You're an asset flipped werewolf and you just chase down asset flipped hippies and kill them, they don't fight back so it's just a lame game of whack a mole. Asset flip garbage is just pollution that harms the industry and reduces market visibility for genuinely developed indie games from developers who tried to do the right thing. It's impossible to recommend this nasty cash grab.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer openly admits to using the work of actual, real game developers without crediting them for it... this is plagiarism and it's highly unethical. If this was an academic or professional business document, and work was plagiarised, there's actual legal repurcussions. Sure, the game assets usually don't require acknowledment or credits, but taking the work of others and pretending it's your own is unethical. The developer seems to have no problem acting unethically. The developer insists that the way they took the work of others and claimed it as their own doesn't matter. They are wrong. The developer is doing pretty much everything Digital Homicide did right before Jim Sterling called them out for it, taking the work of others, mixing it up with a minimal effort game platform and basic engine features from Unreal, dumping it on Steam as a cash grab, and trying to fight the community when people see what's going on. I guess the next step for them to take is legal action against Valve and people who factually review products. We know how well that worked out for Digital Homicide. The developer insists the rest of the garbage assets aren't flipped but this is uncertain, and given the developer has already openly confessed to acting unethically, there's no reason to trust them on this point. It's also largely irrelevant, given the reception of the game by the gaming public. Looking back retrospectively at this train wreck, it was an utter, abject failure. At the time of this response, SteamDB shows the game only ever reached a peak player count of 3 (three!) players. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason, gamers know asset flip garbage when they see it. You might say, "Ah, but this game has positive reviews!"... well, I would encourage reading those reviews where you'll see they're all fake/joke reviews praising a trash product... claiming it saved their lives, cured cancer, saved their marriage... the comedians all come out of the woodwork when crap like this gets dumped on Steam. Because the positive reviews for this game are insincere, those reviews should be disregarded. The actual player numbers should tell you everything you need to know. My review stands unaltered... don't buy asset flips from unethical developers.
Random Scuffed Games #29 https://twitch.tv/ditodesign Vorgeschlagen von: Schatten1001 Der Werwolf könnte auch einfach Sonic oder ein Honda Civic sein. Although one of the achievements "kill a hillbilly" is admittedly not attainable do to a glitch on the devs end that he said in a thread wont ever be fixed because this game didn't sell well enough on steam... I freakin' loved this game! Yeah it sucks I can never 100% it, but who cares? I had fun, I love the idea and concept and being able to run around as a werewolf and kill random hippies is bad ass!
It's silly, simple fun really. Plus you get to be a werewolf and that's cool in my books.
Over all, Silver Bullet Edition succeeds as the new and improved version of what was originally a really funny and fun silly game, but is now something that really stands on it's own legs... or... paws. The new and improved beast mode night of the warewolf does a really good job at being exactly what it is trying to be! A colourfully dark tongue in cheek romp around the universe as a bloodthirsty comic book warewolf who has a sweet tooth for hippies. Absolute hoot! I think the developer did a great job and had a lot of fun making this and I hope he receives ample appreciation for the work he has done to improve this game. The new edition runs smoother than ever, is funnier than ever, more immersive than ever, and the new maps are great! The gameplay is simple but that's inherant. You hunt and destroy hippies(among other things) as fast as you can to get kill combos and wrack up points to beat your high score and become king of the leaderboard. I like the smashable pumpkins too... they're a nice touch. very satisfying. I can't think of another game that satisfies the fantasy of being a warewolf that can't die and just lives to destroy... and partake in the hilarious scenarios that this game provides. Warewolf on the moon? Warewolf in ATLANTIS? yes please! LOL The new Highland map is my favourite I think. I really really liked playing this game and will play again! Was full of good laughs and healthy competition! Fun game to play with a friend on a discord chat, or during a live stream. Simple, but effective and fun. I like that the game doesn't take itself too seriously and knows exactly what it is. The hilarious voice acting is the icing on the cake. If it looks like I haven't played many hours that's just because I haven't played since the end of the playtest period which I guess didn't get recorded.
I made the game, so I'm obviously biased, but Steam asked me to write a review so this is it :P I'm really proud of the remaster. It's finally the game that I wanted Beast Mode to be. If you're hesitant to pick it up, just consider that even if you're able to clear all the levels in a few hours, trying to top the online leaderboards is a legitimately difficult challenge. Especially when (ttv)Thaelo figured out how to break 1 million points on several levels!
Super Fun Game! great maps, music, and a really quirky concept. If you try and rush through you can beat it quite quickly, but it think there's more to it than that... THE LEADERBOARD. Though it seems like a simple concept, i challenge anyone who doesn't like this game to try and actually get good at it, the combos/timing system makes the maximum points really quite variable. I hope it gets popular in the future, so the points leaderboard gets competitive, because i'll keep loading in and trying to get to the top!
