Battletoads

I've never played the original so I don't have anything to compare it to but this is a fun arcade beat 'em up with a touch of late 80's, early 90's comedy and animation. Fun game with some pretty challenging areas which can get pretty aggravating.

Very fine game. Humor is present.. not good not bad just there. Combat is okay can become a bit overwhelming with ranged knockback that has limited warning and aoe attacks that electrify large sections of floor but when it isnt being mildly annoying it can be quite fun. If you get the game for super cheap or free its probably worth killing a few hours. Otherwise dont waste your money. After finishing: Space sections are actually really fun, the sledding sections are actually really bad. There is more space than sled though so at least thats going for the game.

You don't often see a polished, good-looking, fun game like this get a bad rep. until you check and see this reboot got absolutely destroyed by 40 y/o snowflakes mad at a character not being oversexualized like in the 90's or not being insanely difficult to beat like in the 90's. It is an amazing beat 'em up, bullet hell, puzzle, parkour game tho

El vídeo juego es entretenido pero deja bastante que desear lo que es su campaña, su historia que esta para zzz y sobre todo tiene demasiado momentos que te deja fuera de juego tanto tiempo que te cansa, vamos que es un juego no es una película. Gameplay variado que pasa de un beteamup a un plataforma y un shootemup, además del clasico nivel de las motos, por cierto, los niveles de puzzles son los más aburridos. En estilo gráfico es bastante juvenil y no esta mal, pero realmente esperaba un poco más un juego para los chavos rucos pero esta bien. Creo que se queda a nivel de un juego normal, ni mediocre, ni un gran juego, simplemente normal así que si quieren jugarlo, esta bien, pero no esperen mucho. En cuanto a rendimiento, no tengo nada que decir, corre bien y no tiene ningún problema, por lo menos en mi configuración, no tiene ningún problema.

2026 iniciando com esse jogo! Na época do lançamento eu não tinha curtido muito por conta das críticas, mas hoje eu vejo que o jogo é extremamente divertido! E achei muito melhor que os outros jogos do gênero, como marvel cosmic invasion, street of rage, tartarugas ninja... Embora tenha me divertido com todos, o battletoads foi o melhor de longe

Probably should've just beat this in one sitting. This game is alright if you go into it as a retro video game trying to be a Saturday morning cartoon instead of the opposite expectation set by games like TMNT Shredder's Revenge or Marvel Cosmic Invasion. When you actually BATTLE in BATTLEtoads it's great! I love the tag system, while it may be too forgiving on the player, it was a great way to emphasize how different the toads play from one another, differences like Pimple's shorter combo ender compared to Zitz's, or Rash's more consistent air coverage just by having a 3 hit aerial string. I didn't like how you have to go through an entire act without beating dudes up, but even then I wouldn't call it unfun or I just appreciate the game being more playful I guess. An entertaining time if you get it on sale for sure!

This game is pretty great. The humour in it is so absolutely bizarre and unhinged, that I just can't help but laugh at it, it's really funny and exactly my cup of tea! The gameplay is also lots of fun, because it mixes things up every few stages with a beat em up, a shoot em up and a 2D platformer just to name a couple of genres. Which are all genres I am quite a fan of as well! Now lastly playing this together with 3 friends and we're basically as big of morons as the 3 BattleToads are together, just puts a big smile on my face and it's really funny to play this together. Most of the time we just can't stop laughing like maniacs, about just how bizarre this game really is! So yeah I'd definently say give it a try, it's really funny

Okay so, I really don't... condone this game's humor, I think it's really unfunny and way too absurdistic. But laughing at how ridiculous everything is together with my friends was awesome. The couple hours we spent beating this game was admittedly a really really great time. I must commend the gameplay. While it may seem all over the place (going well with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane story), the variety actually keeps the game very fresh. It has quite a few different gameplay types of levels and basically all of them are a ton of fun. My personal favourites were the 2D platforming (except the Gut level lol), the biking, the Jeff sleighing (bruh) and the minigame when you had to regain control of the ship's system. And, gross-out humor and some character designs aside, the game's visual style also really pops with vibrant color and smooth 2D animation. [i]Mostly[/i] a joy to look at and to play. Just not my type of tonal direction :P
