fantastic game.
Honestly a great, strategic game. It's a bit older now but still holds up well. If you liked XCOM or are a fan of the TTG that it's based on, I think you'll like this. Fun and interesting campaign, solid career mode options, 'mech customization, and a great mod community give BATTLETECH some long legs.
I could play this game for a million years, it's fun, challenging but not too challenging, easy to understand and somehow, strangely calming.
I like this game. Buy and play this game.
This is my first time REALLY getting into the BattleTech franchise and, so far, I'm enthralled. Saying it's essentially DnD in w/Mechs in Space, I feel like, is a bit of a disservice to the game itself BUT it is kind of accurate. It grabs you and immerses you like Pathfinder or DnD would, just with less of the roleplaying and more of the mech building and tactics. Only downside so far is that the UI is a little clunky, but not every tactics game can be XCOM lol, so it's not bad - just not perfect. So far? Would recommend. Will update later w/more playtime tho
Fun it feels like X-Com mixed with Mechanicus. I have a feeling if you liked either game you will like Battletech.
Big mechs go boom
this game was great. lots of fun trying to simply replay maps to get the right kills on the right mecs so that the right weapons are salvageable. a game, within a game.
