BATTLETECH

I had this sitting in my library for a few months before I decided to give it a go as I thought it would be ok but was it really worth giving up time for compared to other great games - well I was in for a surprise as this is also a great game. Loved the story line, the characters and really exiting game play. Well worth playing.

The Vanilla Game is really good, but when enhanced with the awesome mods, this is the best Battletech Game outside of the tabletop. It is not an identical copy of everything from the tabletop, but they have placed the right emphases for the points they use to simulate the combat and damage. Try it out Vanilla, then go and use the mods. Check out both types of replays online and decide.

Turn-based game with a variety of tactics and load-outs for your mech warriors. Fun campaign, enjoy the world building, and the managing of your mechwarrior posse in terms of avoiding bankruptcy and managing faction relationships. Good music and art to boot--something lacking from many games today.

Great game, I bought it years ago and it never quite clicked for me but tried again and found it really quite chill, story was cool. Great game!

A very enjoyable mech game - the story is fun and the progression feels manageable as you upgrade your ship between missions and slowly upgrade and collect new mechs and weapons.

The tutorial and first few missions are kind rough. However once you get into your dropship and get access to the main map the game really opens up. You may have to spend some time learning things or google a mechanic or two as the tutorial leaves a few things out but otherwise it is a very solid game. Up there with the pinnacle that is the X-com games for me so far. Extra bonus if you're a Battletech fan.
