Great interpretation of the roleplaying/ old board game experience.
So cool!
This is worth it ... if you get it at the right price. The game is complex and rich with lots of technical details. Consider buying the extras if you get a good package as they add value and story to the game
BATTLETECH is a fantastic turn-based strategy game that captures the feel of commanding giant BattleMechs. The combat is deep and rewarding, with meaningful tactical decisions in every battle. Managing your mercenary company adds another layer of strategy, making victories feel earned. While missions can sometimes be lengthy, the excellent customization options and immersive Battletech universe kept me coming back for more. Highly recommended for fans of tactical games and mechs. It's peak
Brilliant game. I really wish we will see a sequel someday.
so much fun just wish for more
Both for Vanilla and modded I'd give a recommend. Game suffers from long load times and memory leaks though. Vanilla 8/10: Fun building your team and the restraints in mech editing. Black market is needed to find some mechs like SLDF variants, or at least I've never seen them get fielded. Called-shots makes the end game somewhat too easy, especially the marauder (Any variant). There are multiple builds that let them just head cap anything very consistently. Late game is pretty bad for diversity, because evasion gets shredded of lights and mediums. Modded 9/10: From what I've red there are 3 popular overhauls: Battletech extended (BEX), BattleTech Advanced Universe (BATU/BTA3062), and Roguetech (RT). I've tried BTAU and RT. Both fix the evasion shredding, but this makes early game harder. BTAU has a good mix of difficulty and mech tinkering. Some differences in the map but it has a lot of events that occur during the timeline to participate in. I found RT to be a little more difficult and also a slog, even on easier settings. It has a lot that I like and a lot that I don't like.
i am a fan
Still an awesome game!
