Definitely having fun with it, worth getting for sure when on sale.

Played this a bunch on Gamepass before finally getting it here. A decent version of Battletech that isn't as crunchy as the core rules of the miniature war game, but a lot easier to get into as a direct result. This inherently has a lot of RNG involved in it vis a vis what parts of your mech takes damage from attacks and what parts of the enemies mechs you damage, but there's enough strategy in positioning + loadouts + lance composition to sway [b]most[/b] bad luck. Would recommend to anyone who likes turn based battlers, war games, or just the battltetech universe. No guts no galaxy

While there are some game restraints, mostly associated with multiplayer, the campaign is fun and rewarding.

Was on this last week and all of a sudden it will no longer launch. Checked for driver and windows updates, verified files, and rebooted pc but nothing seems to work. It shows that it's running and the button in the library changes to stop, but no game window actually pops up. I even thought that maybe it was just being slow but 10 minutes later and still nothing. I don't know what changed, especially as from what I can tell there wasn't any update recently, but until this is fixed I'm going to have to give this game a thumbs down.

simply, the absolute best turn based mech building game ever.

il es LE jeu auquel j'ai le plus joué dans ma bibliothèque. je n'ai joué qu'une seule fois au jeu de figurine, et ai juste pratiqué une dizaine de parties du jeu de rôle "techno-guerrier". et pourtant j'ai découvert en Battletech un jeu complet, expliquant et explorant la politique et l'univers de ce jeu avec brio. pas totalement parfait, j'aurais aimé plus de mechs, la possibilité d'avoir une entreprise de mercenaires plus complètes, avec char, infanterie et tout ce qui est capable de faire des dégâts. l'aspect jeu de rôle aurait pu être plus poussé, plus de compétence, de choix, une base ou un vaisseau plus développé et aménageable... et pourtant, malgré cela, même des années après l'abandon du développement de ce jeu par paradox, je continue à relancer de temps en temps une carrière en écoutant une OST très appréciable, et mention spéciale à la cinématique du lancement de jeu qui me fait toujours autant rêver. seule question: à quand un Battletech 2?
