BATTLE X

The movement in this game made me ill. The rest of it is fun once you get the hang of it...but the way you move around is SOOOO un-natural, that it starts giving me the sweats and i start feeling nautious.

I was looking forward to this game since it seemed to be a premium title but I refunded after 8mins of play. For all the claimed DNA of this game, its not very good. Graphics are sub par even on my maxed out machine with Vive Pro, voice acting is meh, the game mechanics are meh, reloading isn't very good, and the list goes on.

Ok, I want to be transparent, I have done work for this company. I really like them and their corporate stance on giving back. All that aside, I also really like Battle X. I love PVP--so for me, that is the draw here. I've seen comments about how this made people dizzy--really? Maybe you should not be in VR, to begin with? Another reviewer only played it for so short a time--and it was too difficult for him. Yes, some of the controls need to be reworked, but the graphics are great, I do like the storyline in the single player--but again, I love PVP. There just needs to be more people playing to get the full effect of how fun this game really is. Also, the company DOES listen to your thoughts about improvements and will implement in the next patch. Now get in the multiplayer and create some rooms so we can shoot each other!!!!

If only the development team could spin the magic the marketing team can. This game looked to have a lot of potential, but it turns out it's just a shallow, tactics-free wave defense. Not impressed by the game at all, but I am impressed that they keep talking about a military pedigree and "realism" - nothing about this is realistic, unless these guns are really shooting nerf darts, and those RPGs are actually fireworks. Everyone is so, so bullet-spongy. Refunded.

Overall great game content, responsiveness, and precision of movement. An immersive experience into VR combat with decent representation of firearm combat. If you are looking for a great addition to your VR collection, I highly recommend trying out Battle X.
