game had so much potential but lack of players and lack of updates really killed it unfortunately
its early access but it hasn't been updated in over a year. lobby's are always empty its basically you vs bots. Im curious if a early access game never comes out officially can i get my money back? i bought this expecting updates, player lobby's, a finished game.
Games dead, don't buy.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
I bought this game in 2020 a few months after release and saved a few bucks. Unfortunately, the game was dying at the time and little did I know that by the time I got around to playing it that it would be completely dead. While this game does have an online mode, unless you have a huge group of buddies with VR, you're unlikely to get a real online game started. You're going to be playing against bots. Unfortunately, the bots are pretty bad. I killed every single one within my sights and won the chicken dinner on my very first try. Needless to say, I won't be trying again. This game isn't bad, but there were better BR VR games even at the time (Standout was better). Virtual Battlegrounds looked good and it had some neat concepts, but it's still buggy as hell. I think people were blinded by the potential and the good visuals (for the time period). If this game goes on sale for $5 USD or less, I would say go for it if the sound of single-player BR sounds good to you. The parachuting, climbing almost anything, and the zipline are pretty sweet in this game. However, given that there is no playerbase and that the game is kind of buggy, I can't recommend it. This game is the closest thing to VR Pub-G that I have come across. Decent graphics, decent weapon handling and dropping into the map by actually jumping out of the plane is a riot. The classic VR backpack inventory is actually really nice too. Could use a little refresher on the game mode selecting for solo or duos or squads. But over all i have to give Virtual Battlegrounds credit where it's due. I have never personally seen this title go on sale before sadly.
Such a good game with no potential of ever being revived. No updates since Dec 11, 2020. Disheartening
dead game sadge
They havent updated it in almost a year dont buy
amazing early access game, literally no update in 8 months and still looks the same as on release, Do not reccomend buying this game as the community is dead.
Don’t be fooled: about 5 people play this game.
