Positive: Its a clone of a fantastic game which is Ghosts 'n Goblins. Negative: Its a very very bad one in almost every aspect. Save your money.

This is a really good game. It has tight controls and good game play. It has everything I liked about Ghosts & Ghouls and adds a few things to keep it interesting. I feel like the arcade mode is a lot more fun than the story mode. The only thing I don't like about the game so far is the "leaps of faith" that were needed. These don't detract from the game too much though.

Awesome game inspired in the Ghost N Goblins (or Ghouls N Ghosts, whatever) - but MUCH more easy to play! The Animated intro and the rpg features makes it even better! The sound track is very cool too!

El Ghost and Goblins con una chica como protagonista y con mecánicas un poco menos pulidas. Lo disfruté bastante aunque es cierto que han metido como más objetos a recoger y magias y en la historia no queda como muy claro como funciona nada. Aún así, está entretenido y está bastante bien. A precio completo lo veo un poco pillado, esperaría a que bajase algo.

Pour moi, c'est le digne successeur de ghouls n ghosts sur megadrive, on y retrouve la meme ambiance et le meme type de gameplay. Ce jeu est tout simplement sublime, les musiques, l'histoire, les graphismes, les effets visuels et l'ambiance sont magnifiques. Le mode histoire donne cependant une impression de jeu pas fini, comme si les créateurs du avaient du le finir rapidement. Le système de menu, la carte et le suivi de quetes sont mal faits. Cela n'enlève rien a la beauté du jeu, si vous connaissez et appreciez la série des ghosts n goblins, ghouls n ghosts, super ghouls n ghosts, ultimate ghouls n ghosts vous allez adorer ce jeu, c 'est un véritable chef d'oeuvre. A posséder absolument.

Juego entretenido pero que puede engañar a simple vista. Visual y jugablemente es obvio que estamos ante un clon/tributo a Ghouls'N Ghosts / Ghosts'N Goblins. El juego se siente muy similar a dicha saga cuando te pones a los mandos. Sin embargo, este juego no es un plataformas clásico de pasar pantallas como sí lo era la saga de Capcom, sino que es una aventura plataformera con toques roleros y de avance no lineal, con cierto backtracking y muy muy muy (pero muy) similar al Castlevania 2 de NES. Lo que vas a encontrar en Battle Princess Madelyn es un Castlevania 2 al que han cambiado la skin por un clon de Ghosts'N Goblins. Por tanto, deberemos ir recorriendo una decena de localizaciones separadas por pequeñas aldeas en las que nos irán dando misiones. Dichas misiones podrán ser opcionales o no para avanzar en el juego, y requerirán que visitemos las distintas zonas varias veces si queremos completarlo todo. Además, como en Castlevania 2, el juego tiene ligeros toques de RPG de forma que tendremos un buen puñado de armas y habilidades distintas que podemos seleccionar en cualquier momento una vez conseguidas, mejoras de armadura y potencia de ataque, un inventario con distintos objetos, etc. Todo ello, como digo, con el estilo visual y jugabilidad de la antigua saga de Capcom (aunque con una dificultad muy inferior). Como nota adicional, si has jugado Maldita Castilla, decir que este título cuenta con todo un nivel dedicado al juego español (incluyendo la aparición de Don Ramiro!) que seguro te sacará una sonrisa. En definitiva, si te gustan títulos como Ghouls'N Ghosts y Maldita Castilla, creo que este juego te puede gustar también ya que captura muy bien su esencia a la vez que cambia el tipo de avance sustituyéndolo por el ya mencionado sistema de Castlevania 2.

Being a Ghouls n Ghosts fan i actually really dig this game. It actually combines the best elements of the games in the series, I'd convey it as a mixed up "Super Ghouls and Goblins" if there was such a thing. The double jump is back, theres now three layers of armour and the third one is like a super max power up like in shoot em ups. The only thing that would top this awesome game is ...if it was was a series game in the franchise. I'd say I had the same enjoyment from it as the new Ghosts and Goblins game, and the pixel artwork with scanlines is better than that new G&G game. Think Giana Sisters back on the C64 when Mario was rocking NES. 9/10

I could end the game in story mode, though the quest not completing bug is annoying
