Battle Group 2 is an easy arcade naval shooter with unlockable ships and upgrades. Replayable missions provide a lot of fun.

Quite a lot of fun for a shooting game. It plays like the screenshots. Has an easy re-do ability on chapters so experts may find that too easy.

[i]Battle Group 2[/i] is a thinly-veiled mobile game being sold for $8 as it can be completed with 2-3 hours, has a blocky user interface, and repetitive level design as well as a generic set of enemies that are copy and pasted through levels. There is not much else to say about this horrid excuse for a video game other than that the developers, as a response of game data being corrupted, attempted to fix this issue by giving the player a nearly infinite amount of oil (points) to fully upgrade [b]all[/b] ships and buy hundreds of upgrades, completely ruining the game's difficulty scale, which will inevitably happen as this game is not optimized whatsoever. This game should be delisted immediately as it is [i]that[/i] bad.

This is a pretty basic arcade game, but is enjoyable and well executed. For a pricetag under $10, it's well put together with good graphics and smooth controls. Basic idea is that you're a missile frigate, and you're firing off missiles that explode in a flak burst where you click on the screen. You have unlimited ammo overall, but each shot has a cooldown. The challenge mostly comes from a combination of timing the missile launches correctly to hit enemies of different speeds and managing the reloads of your missiles and secondary weapons while getting swarmed. It's certainly not the hardest game, especially when you use the optional powerups that require upgrade funds to restock, but it's a pleasant way to spend a couple hours.

It is an okay shooter. Fun time waster for an hour or so. No replay value outside of trying to get achievements.
