underrated game has the best boss fights for sure

Batman: Arkham Origins was a great introduction to the Arkham series, and honestly, it did a lot of things right. I enjoyed seeing a younger, less experienced Batman who is still figuring out what it means to become the Dark Knight. Throughout the story, you can see him slowly develop into the legendary hero we know from the later games. It's a great origin story and a solid starting point for the series. The combat is excellent and remains one of my favorite parts of the game. Beating up entire rooms of criminals without taking a hit never gets old. The free-roam experience is also enjoyable, and Gotham feels alive with plenty of things to do outside the main story. Story-wise, I had a great time. The different assassins hunting Batman gave the game a unique premise, and I loved being introduced to each boss throughout the campaign. Many of the encounters felt memorable and helped make the story stand out from other superhero games. So why the negative review? Achievements. As someone who likes to complete games, this experience drove me absolutely insane. I encountered a bug that prevented me from obtaining the achievement for acquiring all upgrades, along with blocking progress toward other completion-related achievements. The main culprit was the Bird Most Wanted side mission. At one point, you're supposed to interrogate a thug to progress the quest. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Every time I tried, Batman would instantly knock the thug unconscious instead of interrogating him, making the quest impossible to complete. No interrogation. No progress. No achievement. Just pain. The worst part? I replayed the entire story TWICE to avoid the bug and make sure I hadn't done something wrong. The bug still happened. Hours of replaying content. Hours of achievement hunting. All wasted because the game decided that every thug apparently needed an immediate nap. Don't get me wrong: ✅ Good story ✅ Great combat ✅ Fun boss encounters ✅ Interesting take on a younger Batman But if you're someone who enjoys 100% completion and achievement hunting, be prepared for the possibility that Gotham's greatest villain might not be Joker, Bane, or Deathstroke. ⭐⭐⭐ - Great Game, Terrible Achievement Experience

Batman: Arkham Origins (2013) is a criminally underrated prequel that brilliantly expands upon the gritty atmosphere and free-flow combat mechanics of its predecessors. Players navigate a snowy, bleak Christmas Eve in Gotham City through a tense, cinematic narrative that chronicles a young, aggressive Bruce Wayne facing off against eight of the world's deadliest assassins. While its frozen, locked-down open world can feel somewhat empty and derivative of Arkham City during traversal, the game's stellar pacing, upgraded detective crime-scene reconstructions, and arguably the absolute best, most mechanically engaging boss fights in the entire franchise make it a phenomenal addition to the series. Combined with incredible voice performances from Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker that breathe fresh, raw energy into the early dynamic between Batman and the Joker, it remains a gripping, narrative-heavy experience that deserves far more appreciation than it initially received.

Great game. A little glitchier compared to other arkham games but shows a way more gruesome batman which can be be very entertaining. Boss fights are up to the mark. The bonus xp feature favour stealth over hand to hand combat. Buy when on sale and enjoy!

Batman arkham origins might be my second favourite batman game because of the lovely combat and the gadgets you get are beatiful and the boss fights i just love highly recommended.
