Ah yes, another "roguelike" where the progression is the memories we made along the way. You spend an hour crawling through dungeons, fighting for your life, collecting loot, and then you die. What do you unlock? Nothing. What do you keep? Nothing. What do you gain? A slightly higher chance of recognizing the same skeleton that kills you next run. It's like clocking into work, getting paid in exposure, and then your boss deletes your bank account. "But the progression is your skill!" Cool. My rent is due. Can I pay with game knowledge? Every run feels like I'm donating my free time to a medieval recycling program. Die. Restart. Repeat. The only number going up is my blood pressure. 10 hours later and my account has progressed exactly as far as my grandma's toaster. Peak roguelike slop. Would accomplish absolutely nothing again. ⭐☆☆☆☆
Very fun game
A real Rougelike
Its not a pretend rougelike like most games. This is a proper roguelike, thematic too. It gets highly addictive, and is very difficult, especially at start. I havent actually beaten all floors yet. But the potential, and learning process of being faster, doing this better feels so good. And surprisingly refreshing when playing different classes. I... I love this game. What?!
Barony is essentially a 3D traditional roguelike. It is difficult at times but a fun dungeon crawler experience.
A very addictive and skill-intensive co-op game, but don't underestimate the gnomes!
Barony is a First Person Dungeon Crawler wherein Characters are temporary and expendable. You choose a class and race for a "run" and then start at level/floor one. You go through each floor killing mobs and looting to level up your character. Death is generally run ending, sending you back to the character creation screen. There are loads of secrets to explore, along with a variety of basic puzzles worth solving. Time is often not on your side, but the path to victory is worth beating the odds. Fun game. Bit of a learning curve. Only Eight hours in, I haven't solo beat a run yet, but I am working on a three player run right now. I do enjoy the Conjurer Class the most so far. Graphics are simple, but styled and enjoyable. FPS is good, I've have zero issues. In eight hours of playtime, i have had zero crashes, so the game appears stable. I would say this Game is worth the price, as I find myself looking forward to playing it on my days off, and enjoy it with friends as much as I do alone.
