In this city-building strategy game, you control a group of exiled travelers who decide to restart their lives in a new land. They have only the clothes on their backs and a cart filled with supplies from their homeland. The townspeople of Banished are your primary resource.

TL;DR: Overpriced for amount of gameplay and features. THE UI is horrendous. It a good very basic micro-managing city builder. DO NOT BUY UNLESS ON SALE FOR $5 The Good: If you would like to try a game that is a micro-managing your city builder, which is fun, then this is the game for you. Its very rudimentary and enjoyable. Especially when you your population experiences mass grown. That is a fun hurdle to manage. There is a tutorial and then the game. Its basic, and a great way to explore this genre DEPENDING ON THE PRICE. The bad: THE UI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious. You can have a building in nearly permanent limbo no matter how many laborers and builders you assign to the task. The prioritize feature is the most useless button Ive seen in a non early access game. I cannot describe to you how annoying the priority system in this game is. It can tank your game if you need food supply and the builders just refuse to build the location or upgrade a house. I should be able to make it the civilization, as a whole, their number 1 priority. Like to the point where the prioritize building this over eating and they die. LASTLY the price is way too high. this is not worth $20USD. Ive played better games for longer for half of that. if you catch it on sale for $5 then you can pick it up.
A very nice, simple and straightforward city building game
Booming town of 80, food for years. Year 16: barn fire chains, potato infestation explodes, mass starvation... 3 survivors left. Rebuilt from mom, dude, and kid's inbred spawn. Heartbreaking, hilarious, hooked for life. 10/10 Would wipe the slate again.
I started a town 6 times and the people died out from under me to the point where the society stalled. They died of freezing in the summer. They died of starvation while harvesting full fields of food. All efforts to feed the little bas**rds had no effect. It's a fun concept and I was engaged, but I ground down to the easiest level, best weather, and no disasters, and still had societal collapse. I have more important things to fail at.
Well its a pretty good game, with some serious flaws, over 300-500 population game starts to lag BAAADLY, and its not my pc, or my laptop, its this game engine, support for only 1core/thread kills it.. Its so stupid, it has awesome mods too, but no, it just cannot keep up. Just buy Setlement survival instead, has everything this game has, + wont need mods to get prettymuch every building this game has with all mods, and wont lag even on 1500population, and going strong.
Das Spiel ist Genial. Langzeitspielspaß!
I've spent so much time on this game.. It's simple yet captivating. I can spend hours building and managing my town. I do wish they added updates or made a second game with more buildings and stuff, but if you're into mods you can add some things that way. I love this game so much I truly wish there was a sequel!
JUST GO EAT THE FOOD! WHAT ARE YOU, STUPID??????!!!!!????
