Review snapshot Reviewed on: 6 September 2026 Achievements available at the time of review: 23 Quick completionist overview Crazy roguelike pachinko that's very addictive. Fortunately, it doesn’t overstay its welcome, as you can complete it in about 12 hours. It has no missable achievements. Achievement overview Approximate time to 100%: 12+ hours Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10 Minimum number of playthroughs needed: Multiple.. kinda.. as it is a roguelike Is there a good guide available: On Steam, there are some guides for specific achievements if you need help with those. Multiplayer achievements: No Missable achievements: No Grinding achievements: Yes, a bit..the 1B points on one profile seems like a lot. Your goal is to reach a certain amount of points within 7 turns to get to the next challenge after that. At first, this may sound hard, but you'll get better and understand the strategy along the way. There is a bit of RNG with the items that come up; however, this is mitigated by the rerolls you have and the option to ban unlocked items (not possible for the base items). This game had me hooked from the start! Easy to understand, and you feel you're progressing every single game. About the achievements I like that there are achievements for completing each board (aka level) as well as some weird challenges! I struggled with the 1B achievement until a Steam friend tipped me off that it was easily doable in a single run by using the kitchen sink. I tried that and made 8 billion in 1 run. Final thoughts I really enjoyed this game; the craziness and roguelike style are right up my alley. I really love that Ballionaire didn't overstay its welcome. I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if the game took 30 or more hours to play; however, the current playtime to get 100% is the sweet spot. Not too easy, not too hard, and not too long. I give Ballionaire 4 out of 5 stars.
Do you enjoy games that don't have missable achievements? For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I must admit that my time with this game was a disappointment. Despite giving it a fair shot, I found myself struggling to grasp its mechanics and progression. The gameplay feels inherently unpredictable, with outcomes seeming to hinge on chance rather than skill or strategy. While I'm not one to shy away from challenges, this game's design seemed to prioritize complexity over clarity, making it difficult for me to discern what actions were effective. Fun for a few sessions, and then got bored since i could not progress to other levels.
Haven't played long. Game was in Humble Bundle. Still, wanted to give it a rating, because I just can't see the appeal here. While there are a lot of different "maps", difficulties and placeables that turn into combinations, the base gameplay just doesn't feel ... inspiring. You pick some stuff, you place it, you remove stuff that isn't working (anymore) if you can, you choose some passive boons, and then ... you watch a ball bonk around for 20 seconds ... There is a reason the game has a 4x speed option ... I guess, for some people this will hit some sort of dopamine ... for me it's a tad too boring and too reliant on RNG. You basically have no control over where the ball goes, so while in theory you can make like 100k a round ... it could also just be 10k ... because of bad luck. You can have your ball be automatically saved once with a certain item, only to see it plummet straight back down into the abyss, not generating any more money. It's just a lot of variables you have no control over. Overall, I feel like the price isn't outrageous, and someone clearly put some thought into this, but unless you really, really, really love pinball machines and just "big number huiiiii", then I'm not sure you will get much out of it.
it's like if Peggle was fun
To be honest, I agree with most of the negative reviews. But buy on a sale and you'll get 1-2 days of decent fun out of it. 6.5/10
At time of writing, it's 60% off and under a fiver. I'd say it's worth it, at that price.
Ballionaire is wildly addicting and knows how to implement visual and audio feedback to give you them good chemicals whenever you get a multi-minute long combo going. While the game has it's hooks in you, it's a real joy in figuring out synergies and playstyles but unfortunately after the discovery period is through, actually implementing what you've learned makes this game pretty easy. In reality there are about 5 or so playstyles that you take despite there being a fairly impressive amount of pegs to place, perks to choose, and hurdles to avoid, but for all that there is to work with, Ballionaire feels like it steers you into those 5 set paths if you want to be successful. It does take a little while to get to that point, and the gameplay cycle of attempting a run, getting unlock tokens to add more pegs to your proverbial box-of-options, and going back in, is really solid and will absolutely eat hours of your life. As opposed to other rougelikes where your knowledge unlocks a whole new layer of understanding and satisfying mastery of the game, Ballionaire becomes fairly one-note instead. The journey to get to that point is not to be understated, I absolutely loved my time with Ballionaire and I still go back every-now-and-then but it's tail is not as long as I expected. Still a great game. Still an absolute dopamine milking machine. Cannot wait to see what the world of pachinko rougelikes holds.
May not be the world's best roguelite or it's longest lasting, but I did enjoy my time with it. Once you figure out how everything in the game works though, it does become nigh trivially easy, even on the higher difficulties. Still though, it is difficult to deny the lizard brain amazement of "number go up."
