Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Aug 14 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Your world has always been limited to the fortress library’s ancient halls, where your foster father, Gorion, worked tirelessly to shield you from dangers you never understood.
All of that is about to change, setting you on the path that made Baldur’s Gate a legend.

une légende des JDR simplement... les graphismes ont vieillit, mais l'histoire et les personnages restent incroyables
It's old school D&D. If you miss that, play this. You probably already have. So play it again.

I have played this game twice now, once from disks may years ago form CDs and the second time was this steam playthrough. I enjoy playing the game and very much like all the different side quests and random (sometimes very random) things characters are doing in the game. Its genuinely a game you play and feel like you are making the game your own in the choices you make. I only really choose the good side of things and always play a sorcerer half elf and found the game challenging especially during the harder fights and end boss fights
(I had to use potions (loads of potions for everyone in the party and I don't mean healing potions) to win the final battle of Dragon Spear - BG1.5)
. My real motivation for playing this game again was to play BG1 then BG2 and finally BG3 obviously this play though overran a bit (since its now 2026 - I pre-purchased BG3 and have yet to play it!). I think its a really good game but I much preferred BG2 (and its expansion) in terms of actually playing the game. To compare the two I have now started my third play through of BG2 (on steam), which is an extra play through to BG1. Anyway I would certainly recommend this game for anyone who likes these kind of games or for those who want to take part in and know the plot before (and take a single character though BG1, BG2 and presumably BG3 - no idea if you can import into BG3) playing BG3.
GREAT
Old school D&D party adventures. Nice mix of party interactions and local quests with some great FAQs to help when you get lost.
кайфовое рпг, особенно для того времени, сюжет, боевка, имба
Very basic story, it's sort of a prototype for Bioware (rest in peace) and what they'd come out with later. Don't expect a lot of dialogue from your companions, or an incredibly engaging main story. This game is largely about the D&D combat and little else. Not quite on the level of say, Icewind Dale, but it's not nearly as story intensive as every Bioware game that comes after it. Especially Baldurs Gate 2. The story can essentially be summed up as "some guy killed your dad, are you a bad enough dude to kill him back?" The answer is of course yes.
So gut wie eh und je und das Spiel funktioniert!
