Genuinely life-changing. I got to play this game in early access back when you couldn't go past the goblin camp; amazing how far it has come from that. To anyone who is debating whether or not to play, just play.

Dang good game.
No soy de este estilo de juegos, lo compré por el hype que generó y puedo decir que es el mejor juego que he jugado en mi vida.
I'm not sure what I could say about this game at this point, so late. This is one of the greatest games of all time. When it was initially announced I was highly skeptical that this could possibly be good. It seemed like it was just trying to inherit the legacy of one of the greatest RPG series of all time, and one of my personal favorites, as a pointless nostalgia and marketing ploy. How could some other team come in and just claim the mantle for themselves? They did it though. They did it justice and surpassed it at the same time. It is such a tremendous D&D like experience, it's everything you wish your campaigns with your friends were. Immensely replayable and it rewards the (copious) time that you put into it by letting you find and explore things. It's everything I could have wanted and more.
Fun
I have to give this a negative review just for the absolutely useless autosave system. Why couldn't they at least make it so that it autosaves after major dialogues/events or after leveling up, for example?! Probably half of my damn playtime is just redoing hours of lost progress because I forgot to quicksave enough. I've had to redo progress way too many times due to annoying bugs and issues like enemies teleporting to where they shouldn't be, getting stuck out of bounds, weird issues with dialogue, or issues with stealth. At one point, during a story mission, the game gives you three options. One is to attack the goblins, another is to attack the ally, and the third is to not do anything. If you pick the third one, apparently the outcome is the same as the second option. Even if you never attack the ally and only attack the goblins, the ally is permanently hostile toward you, and there is no way to talk to them or pacify them. If you manage to knock them out, the dialogue claims that the ally died, even though they didn't, and they remain hostile, which means you can't help them. Why did they make it seem like the third option was neutral, when it is locked into the same outcome as the second one, and why the hell can't you just pacify them in some way?! I just wanted to look around and see if there was another way, but no, I was suddenly forced into fighting the ally to death. Also, when sneaking, the enemy vision often goes through terrain or solid objects, and it doesn't make any sense that you enter combat when a non-hostile NPC that is not in combat sees you. I would most likely give this a positive review if they just made the autosave system function in a useful way, or if I wasn't encountering so many bugs and issues that make me have to reload in the first place. The game is pretty cool otherwise.
