BACKROOMS THE COMPANY

I usually prefer the horror aspect that entities provide but this one kept my interest. Though there are entities within these backrooms, I didn't lose my interest because the experience of this one tends to keep you on edge, wondering when one will show up. Also has some really good lore found throughout that describe aspects of the backrooms that left an impression on how I see the backrooms. That said, it's worth paying for. Recommended resolution to play at is 3840x2160 I believe I bought this when it came out. Played it for about an hour. Couldn't remember if I had beat it or not, so I decided to run through it again today and leave a review. Menu was blurry. 1080p was terrible. Thought my eyesight was failing. I accidentally started the game so.... Kept hitting escape to change the settings and it wasn't happening. Played the game to the end but it seemed like the longer I played the blurrier it got. Anyway..... Then I read on the store page that P takes you into the menu not esc. Started a new game. Changed the settings to what I usually use (1440) and it was still blurry. Then I changed it to 2160. The second I did that. The entire game looked different. Gone was the blurry menu and blurry graphics. Nice and crisp. With that drawn out explanation out of the way. The game itself is decent but has some issues. Mainly when you run. It's like you're hopping around on one foot. Breathing may be annoying for some. But whatever. I just ignore it. Not really much in the way of ambiance/music unless triggered. In the end it's not that bad for the price but you've been here before. 6.5/10
