The year is 2017. A friend of mine sends me 2 pirated games saying "you should try them both, I know you love metroidvanias". One is a game called "Hollow Knight". I play it for a few hours. Looks nice, but it really doesn't catch my attention. The other one is called "Axiom Verge": same, never heard of it. I launch Axiom Verge. I meet a guy named Trace. As time goes on, a stream of dopamine invades me and goes through my body. My family calls me to have dinner with them. I look at the time: it's been 3 hours. I decide to call it a day. The next morning, I wake up at 6 a.m, turn on my PC and launch Axiom Verge. The data files are gone, the game is gone as well. The year is 2025. This game pops up in my Steam's recommended list. I buy it, download it and launch it. "Sorry Trace, I'm late."

Is good
One of the best metroidvanias on steam. I don't have much negative to say about it, other than you have to do a bunch of wall checking for secrets and traversal can be a bit of a chore at times. The story is rather odd, but I liked it. This game really feels like someone who loves metroidvanias tried to make their own take on it, and it really worked out well!

for a game that takes me around 2.5 hr to beat and that i have over 173 hr on it the replay is grand with a built in rando i have came back to this so many times SM is one of my all time faves and now so is this game is it low res yep still love it good rando and good story if you are a fan of SM try this one.
Es un gran juego, si te gustan los metroidvania te va a gustar. La banda sonora y la ambientación son buenísimas, tiene un lore interesante con una historia sencilla pero con algunos giros muy potentes. Tiene gran variedad de armas, lo que puede ser negativo porque la mayoría no las acabas usando mucho, y power-ups que hacen el bactracking muy satisfactorio. Quizá el punto en el que más flojea es el combate, que sin ser malo se nota que le falta un poco
