Owning 300+ indie platformers, I believe I'm qualified for this review. :) I could TELL IMMEDIEATLY that this was a winner for all ages. ENJOY!!!!
A simple and sweet platformer, with the quirky charm of an N64 era Rare game and an OST as catchy as Third Strike. A little short, but you can tell it was made with love and with a price that low how can I not recommend it??
The only way to play this game is on glass axe. Enjoy dark souls like difficulty.

A very charming and fun game, be braver than me and play on higher difficulties.
A nice little game that's quite enjoyable. Glass Axe difficulty is pretty fun.
Nice visuals, nice OST, polished gameplay. I had a good time.
Best 49 cents I've spent all year.
This is an inexpensive game with a good sense of humor that plays kind of like old-school Strider. It's short and the graphics are a little Commodore 64-esque but it's a more than enjoyable experience that doesn't drag out longer than it needs to be. You can beat it in a little over an hour (I sure did), but it's not an excessible easy game either. Worth a look.
This is one of those games where you have to tell people "it gets better the more you play it" when you recommend it. It's not bad, but first impressions are not super great. That said, as you progress the game gives you more interesting enemies, obstacles, and gameplay moments. It's pretty well designed from a game design perspective, and rarely did I feel this game threw anything at me that I wasn't aptly prepared for. Graphics aren't horrible to look at, and definitely get better as you go, but still leave a bit to be desired. Still, it's not bad. And I mean, the game is like 5 bucks. For 5 dollars this isn't too bad.
I don't like playing 2D platformers but this game is very fun, the combat is simple and feels great. The music is terrific and I hope the OST becomes available on steam soon. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys supporting/playing indie games as this game was well worth the price. If you don't normally buy indie 2D platformers like me I also recommend this game to you because it might surprise you. Axe Girl is short but don't let that take away too much from the fun you will have from this game.
