Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

What a fun Game so far! Having a blast searching every off path tracks for loot and the fighting in the game feels really responsive and unique.
Scratching that skyrim itch. Much better combat and a 'chosen one' story full of politics and existential questions that you are tasked with answering.
Avowed is a fun RPG on its own, no-brainer if you're a fan of the world of Eora and Pillars of Eternity.
Review
The Living Lands is a great setting, and I thought thematically the transition from isometric to first-person, with an emphasis on exploration, made a lot of sense given the themes of the game. You're essentially breaking the frontier of wild lands, in a gameplay loop that asks you to explore to your heart's content. I personally think this thematic consistency between gameplay loop and the world being presented is the best thing in the game. That said, because it's my favourite thing about the game, it's also where I'm the most critical. Avowed asks you to explore if you want to engage with the world the way it's intended, which makes sense given that for the most part these are wild lands. My criticism lies in the rewards for exploring. You'll be doing some platforming, finding hidden pathways, and solving small environmental puzzles, among other things, to loot unique items, and that's it. Don't get me wrong, I love looting, but I'm playing an RPG set in Eora by Obsidian and I often found myself asking why this item is here. What the background is for finding this unique accessory on this skeleton after going through a platforming section (Bear with me. After dozens of unique items looted, it's hard to keep track of the exact way I got that accessory). To be fair, you do get some lore here and there, mostly if you're exploring within a designated quest dungeon (looking at you, Maxim Vidarro), but it's far too little for a studio that is phenomenal at world-building. Ultimately, I wish the exploration were better tied into the world-building, either through environmental storytelling or stronger ties to questlines, even at the cost of a few dozen unique items. The other systems in Avowed I found serviceable. Character progression is very standard, nothing memorable. I think the simplification of the Pillars of Eternity classes doesn't do the game any favours. Your class isn't part of who you are as the Envoy. It's just a system for combat. Playing on Path of the Damned, I found very few perks that actually allowed for player expression in a fun way and I honestly thought it was one of the weaker parts of the game. Attributes are a bit more relevant since they actually affect how you interact with the world and come with some nice effects in combat. Companions are both an improvement in how you interact with them and underwhelming in terms of how they exist in the world and their narrative progression (with the exception of Kai). I really like that they feel like they live in the world, and you get these casual interactions where you get to know them. It's a very different flavour of companion if you're familiar with how they worked in Pillars, where every interaction meant advancing their plot. In Avowed you actually get to know them, just chat and vibe, which I really liked, even if the delivery and tone often leaned funnier and more sarcastic than I would've prefered. I also liked how they'd remark on my actions, even remembering things I'd done hours earlier. That said, I thought their character arcs were pretty underwhelming. Obsidian played it very safe with their motivations, to the point where they stick by you even when you take actions that go directly against what they stand for (which you know, because you've gotten to know them). There's one exception to their reactivity, but more on that later. Mechanically, outside of Kai's taunt abilities, I don't think companions add much to the gameplay. The story was actually quite nice, and I enjoyed some of the side quests and how they build the world. I do think the game's themes are handled a bit too safely. I can't help but draw comparisons to the same themes in Pillars 1 and 2, where I think the writing was more ambitious and took a more grounded, realistic approach. That said, I think playing it safe works for this setting, where everything leans more towards a humorous heroic adventure. For that reason, I do find that one of the routes for the story is a bit undercooked. There are essentially two paths you can take with some nuance here and there, but the escalation and consequence for one of them is so underwhelming and heavily backloaded (literally final thirty minutes of the game) that I almost would prefer I didn't have that option for a more fleshed out singular path with deeper exploration of the themes in the game.
Veredict
I loved my time with Avowed. It definitely exceeded my expectations, especially given the discourse around the game. I hope the Avowed 2 they're secretly cooking up does come around someday. It's a solid 83/100 for me.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Somehow this game makes me want to climb everyrhing and I am not fighting it.
Fun combat system. Immersive world. Not the best optimization. Worth the money on discount.
I was looking forward to this game, since I liked the two pillars of eternity games, and a first person game in the same world sounded great. However, considering the lukewarm reviews I waited until a sale, and finally played it. It exceeded my expectations. It's a fun game, the world is beautiful, and the story is engaging. The combat and mechanics took some getting used to. It became fun after a while, when I understood how it worked. I found it fairly easy at normal difficulty, and even the boss fight I had no troubles with (though I saved my potions for boss fights, and had about 30 or so, instead rely on food during the game). IMO this game is undervalued, it's worth playing especially if you are into action RPG and the pillars of eternity games.
Great game! Reminds me of playing Skyrim as a kid with a fresh twist on it. It has a pleasant similarity to Baldur's Gate 3 without some of the more complex DnD mechanics. I would recommend. My only problem is the jitteriness of walking animals, sometimes (like chickens for example) they look like they're just sliding across the ground while doing a too slow walking animation. It breaks the emersion for me, but it's a small issue in an otherwise beautiful game.
Very fun game, too bad characters look like dumbos and dingus
