Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

I wish I liked this game more than I do. Every step of the way, I was rooting for it and in some occasions, the game managed to meet the moment. As a complete package though, I just found myself wanting so much more. Every bit of praise I have to give is immediately countered with a baffling and frustrating design decision. Case in point: The combat is really great. I was always looking forward to situation to fight and would often choose more aggressive dialogue options just to test myself against the game's combat chess. It was really fun! Unfortunately, the borked gear system and level progression damper a lot of the potential here. I did nearly every side quest in Avowed, including bounties and regional/faction quests., but I was never able to stay on gear curve at all. I was also a tier or two behind. Leveling my character was never eventful at all. Just boilerplate number-go-up stat bonuses. The exploration is the BEST part about Avowed. The environments are dense and full of really cleverly hidden dungeons. Emerald Stair and Shatterscarp especially are breathtaking. The draw distance for these maps is vast. Going to a high elevation point and just staring out into the distance never gets old. And even THIS has a flaw embedded in it. The loot you get in some of these cool locations is so trash, man. I'm in a dungeon near the end of the game and I'm getting CRAFTING MATERIALS. Like I can count on one hand the amount of cool weapons I got while looting. Now, I get they would like us to explore and find hidden weapons through our travels. And sure, that's fair. But the fact that they would rather us progress the basic weapons instead of providing more unique weapons is just strange. I can imagine a lot of people not enjoying the process of upgrading their starter weapon into a legendary one. It makes the basic experience of opening a chest feel not interesting at all. One last thing are the cities, man. I really hate the ways Avowed's cities are. Skill Up described it as "a set permanently suspended in the phase before the director says action" and he's absolutely right. They're so boring and lifeless. NPC's don't really move and will stand in the same places throughout the entire game in most cases. It's really immersion-breaking. Seeing how devs create NPC interactions in cities is really cool. I wish they did a better job here. A lot of folks were critical of the "lore-dump" approach Obsidian took with the writing and I don't necessarily mind it. It can sometimes feel like characters are just over the moon to tell you something about their region's subculture, which I dig a lot. It reminded me a lot of the first Mass Effect in that way.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A fun game where Garrus Vakarian can be your companion again! But the I'll also say that the map designs in this game is great. The world feels handcraftet and it's a lot of fun to see something cool on the horizon and decide you want to check it out. The combat also feels great, it feels fast and flashy in a way that makes you feel cool. I will also say that my pc is not the best, so at the endgame I started to expirience some technical hiccups and crashes, which is a shame since the early game runs completly fine for me. I'll say the game is worth giving a chance, and having fun exploring and getting to know your character
The truth about Avowed is that it's a strange cocktail,a crossover between a CRPG and an action FPS that works... but only in fits and starts. The real standout here is without a doubt the combat system: the sheer physicality and impact of the skills give you a massive sense of satisfaction. The game world is well-designed, captivating, and packed with detail. Sure, it lacks the magnificence and immersion of a The Elder Scrolls title (it's a bit too fantasy-heavy for that), but it's still great to look at. A quick shout-out to the character designs too, which are all well-crafted, even if they look like they've all undergone a round of cosmetic surgery with botox and lip fillers, making them feel a bit uncanny and overly standardized. Unfortunately, as soon as the brawling stops and the talking starts, the game trips over itself. The main plot is soporific, watered down, and stretched thin across pointless trips, the classic Obsidian issue, where stories end up bland and forgettable (New Vegas and The Outer Worlds are two of the most forgettable stories I have ever played). But the absolute worst part is the dialogue: preachy, cryptic, and completely unnatural. It feels like a series of short stories written to shove the lore down your throat with a funnel. The internal voice quickly becomes a relentless pain you just want to skip, and most NPC interactions follow the same frustrating loop (you warn them of a dire threat, they downplay it or insult you, and then after ten minutes of useless chatter they go, "Alright, fine, let's do it"). In the long run, listening to them literally drains your urge to keep playing. That said, this burnout comes from my personal hatred for flat plots and irritating dialogue, if you enjoy heavy exposition and slower storytelling, you might actually appreciate this side of the game. There are a few other odd design choices too: the Dying Light-style parkour used to reach hidden chests feels out of place, and there is way too much loot lying around (almost Borderlands style). Being able to steal anything anywhere without consequences completely kills immersion. Worse yet, the loot feels boring, generic, and thoroughly unsatisfying; I literally wore the exact same three items for the entire game without ever finding anything interesting or build-defining, just a endless collection of upgrade materials. Bottom line: Don't expect a new Skyrim or a Pillars of Eternity. Avowed hits incredible highs with its combat and companion interactions, but if you're looking for a smooth narrative and a memorable adventure, get ready to slog through an ocean of boring dialogue that will test your patience. It genuinely kills me to leave a negative review. I’m convinced Avowed has its audience, and with a few tweaks, this could have been a masterpiece. But the dialogs in this game are a war crime against basic entertainment. They pureed my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brain and pulverized my soul to the point where I couldn’t even force myself to finish it, dropping the game just few hours away from the final credits. If a game's writing makes you want to claw your eyes out more than it makes you want to see the ending, it doesn't deserve your time.
Gut gemacht, allerdings keine 70Takken wert.
It's pretty fun, nice to have an RPG of this type to play around with that has it's own unique lore and setting.
와따뵹 왤케 징그러운게 많이 나온다냐
This game is really underrated. I don't really have any complaints. It's not some masterpiece that will change whole genre, but it's just solid, fun RPG game. Cool first person engaging combat, very good graphics, there are choices that matters and can change the outcome of the story. Actually a strong point of this game is also lack of ubisoft-like question marks and pointless collectibles everywhere. I had fun, never felt bored and I can definitely recommend it in 2026 after all patches.
For CachyOS Users: PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr,no_upload_hvv %command% Game itself is good. Solid 8/10. Great Combat, Visuals, art style. It feels awesome to explore because you will always find something usefull. Story is good, Characters also but all in all forgetable. The World..well its your Playground. No Reactions to theft, people always stay at the same place - so no KCD2. RPG Elements itself..well your origin story matters sometimes.. Your decisions can have a hard impact but only once per region more or less. All in all enjoyable especially
Changes would be nice. 1) Having the ability to dismiss companions 2) Having the ability to fight any one (including guards)-Also maybe add a crime and punishment/wanted system? 3) World needs to feel more lived in, like Npc's having the basic ability to move, fight ,eat & sleep with daily routines. Overall i expected the game to be better. it failed
played around 45 hours: Pros - First 2 areas are really beutiful Like the exploration Like the parkour and finding secrets combat is really nice cons - at some point the fights feel a chore - i played in heightest diffuclty and the enemies just have too much hp. like normal enemies takes seconds to do even when you have max stats and gear Too much dialog - and with "choises matter" like too many, I got into the final act and i thought to my self, oh finally the ending! but noooooooooo there still a big map to explorer. I don't bother to end the game, the fights just arent good enough to carry this game
