About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

我的黑曜石第一部作品,以前在xbox上玩过天外世界1,没玩下去
Avowed isn’t a terrible game, it's just aggressively mediocre. I played it for 19 hours or so and had a decent time but felt no reason to keep playing. The best way to describe Avowed is as what a vibe coding tool would generate if you asked it to create the most generic fantasy-themed first-person RPG possible. I imagine the prompt being “take Skyrim but remove all the charm and sense of adventure.” You’ll constantly be fighting the same comically generic set of enemies over and over again: evil soldiers, bandits, bears, lizard people, etc. in a combat system that can most charitably be described as ‘servicable’. Avowed tries to break up the monotony with some emotional moments but they fall flat because the game does nothing to earn your emotional buy-in. I found myself completely not caring about the world or its inhabitants. That may be fine for a shooter but it's a death sentence for an RPG. Likewise, Avowed tries to offer some element of ‘choice’ but it just feels tacked-on. Unlike in games like the Witcher, where choices were difficult because there were compelling reasons to pick different options, the choices in Avowed are essentially all between ‘good person choice’ and ‘bad person choice’. Eventually I found this gameplay loop as engaging as the cold, dead eyes of my character, who stares lifelessly into the distance during every cutscene. Give this one a miss. There are better uses of your time.

Exploring is nice, combat feels good and nice environments and voice acting. If you find this on discount its a good catch.
very fun for a first playthrough. been wanting to come back for a 2nd but am struggling yes, still good tho
Meh...it's okay, I suppose, but not very gripping...
Scratches skyrim and baldur's gate itch
I love the pillars universe and this game gives you another perspective.
