Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

This is an incredible game, which has some of the best features from other games I love. Imagine combining the finer features, like NPC animations and conversations, from Dragon Age Inquisition with the first-person combat and exploration of Skyrim into one game - that is Avowed. On top of that, the game is stunningly beautiful with exceptional textures and visuals - I often find myself using the photo mode to capture the landscape vistas and dungeon lighting. However, my favorite part of this game is the combat, which allows the player various choices to develop the character as a mage, archer, warrior, or a combination. Even though the visuals are stunning, the game runs flawlessly at high to ultra graphics settings and 4k resolution on my PC. Lastly, the New Game + adds a new layer of replayability. Due to this game being so narratively driven, replayability may be the only con. However, New Game + helps resolve this by giving the player rewards from previous game completions and enabling some early dialogue choices that may not be available on first playthroughs. Overall, I would strongly recommend this game if you love RPGs like Skyrim, Dragon Age, or others.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I wish I liked this game more than I do. Every step of the way, I was rooting for it and in some occasions, the game managed to meet the moment. As a complete package though, I just found myself wanting so much more. Every bit of praise I have to give is immediately countered with a baffling and frustrating design decision. Case in point: The combat is really great. I was always looking forward to situation to fight and would often choose more aggressive dialogue options just to test myself against the game's combat chess. It was really fun! Unfortunately, the borked gear system and level progression damper a lot of the potential here. I did nearly every side quest in Avowed, including bounties and regional/faction quests., but I was never able to stay on gear curve at all. I was also a tier or two behind. Leveling my character was never eventful at all. Just boilerplate number-go-up stat bonuses. The exploration is the BEST part about Avowed. The environments are dense and full of really cleverly hidden dungeons. Emerald Stair and Shatterscarp especially are breathtaking. The draw distance for these maps is vast. Going to a high elevation point and just staring out into the distance never gets old. And even THIS has a flaw embedded in it. The loot you get in some of these cool locations is so trash, man. I'm in a dungeon near the end of the game and I'm getting CRAFTING MATERIALS. Like I can count on one hand the amount of cool weapons I got while looting. Now, I get they would like us to explore and find hidden weapons through our travels. And sure, that's fair. But the fact that they would rather us progress the basic weapons instead of providing more unique weapons is just strange. I can imagine a lot of people not enjoying the process of upgrading their starter weapon into a legendary one. It makes the basic experience of opening a chest feel not interesting at all. One last thing are the cities, man. I really hate the ways Avowed's cities are. Skill Up described it as "a set permanently suspended in the phase before the director says action" and he's absolutely right. They're so boring and lifeless. NPC's don't really move and will stand in the same places throughout the entire game in most cases. It's really immersion-breaking. Seeing how devs create NPC interactions in cities is really cool. I wish they did a better job here. A lot of folks were critical of the "lore-dump" approach Obsidian took with the writing and I don't necessarily mind it. It can sometimes feel like characters are just over the moon to tell you something about their region's subculture, which I dig a lot. It reminded me a lot of the first Mass Effect in that way.
A fun game where Garrus Vakarian can be your companion again! But the I'll also say that the map designs in this game is great. The world feels handcraftet and it's a lot of fun to see something cool on the horizon and decide you want to check it out. The combat also feels great, it feels fast and flashy in a way that makes you feel cool. I will also say that my pc is not the best, so at the endgame I started to expirience some technical hiccups and crashes, which is a shame since the early game runs completly fine for me. I'll say the game is worth giving a chance, and having fun exploring and getting to know your character
It's pretty fun, nice to have an RPG of this type to play around with that has it's own unique lore and setting.
This game is really underrated. I don't really have any complaints. It's not some masterpiece that will change whole genre, but it's just solid, fun RPG game. Cool first person engaging combat, very good graphics, there are choices that matters and can change the outcome of the story. Actually a strong point of this game is also lack of ubisoft-like question marks and pointless collectibles everywhere. I had fun, never felt bored and I can definitely recommend it in 2026 after all patches.
For CachyOS Users: PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr,no_upload_hvv %command% Game itself is good. Solid 8/10. Great Combat, Visuals, art style. It feels awesome to explore because you will always find something usefull. Story is good, Characters also but all in all forgetable. The World..well its your Playground. No Reactions to theft, people always stay at the same place - so no KCD2. RPG Elements itself..well your origin story matters sometimes.. Your decisions can have a hard impact but only once per region more or less. All in all enjoyable especially
played around 45 hours: Pros - First 2 areas are really beutiful Like the exploration Like the parkour and finding secrets combat is really nice cons - at some point the fights feel a chore - i played in heightest diffuclty and the enemies just have too much hp. like normal enemies takes seconds to do even when you have max stats and gear Too much dialog - and with "choises matter" like too many, I got into the final act and i thought to my self, oh finally the ending! but noooooooooo there still a big map to explorer. I don't bother to end the game, the fights just arent good enough to carry this game
Definitely worth it if you buy it on sale for ~$35 (that's half of the original price) Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon was too dark and depressing for me. I want a game that relieves stress, not increases stress
A great gateway into the Pillars of Eternity franchise, which I've been putting off until now. The game was overall very well done, with the exception that the combat was a little slower than I personally prefer.
Avowed is a game for which I'd like a third option instead of "yes" or "no" for the recommendation, I find it to be a somewhat mixed bag. It has some undeniable good and fun elements but at the same time fails in other areas - especially when it comes to some RPG elements. First things first, yes, the game has some "woke" elements like pronoun shenannigans. As someone who really, really dislikes woke elements in games I have to say that it did not feel intrusive to a level that bothered me. So the backlash this has experienced over that is indeed overblown. Let's now talk about the game: The good stuff: - combat is fluid and fun - exploration feels rewarding and you find lots of loot - playstyles with different weapons/magic are fun - I mostly liked the semi-open world areas - especially during the first 1/2-2/3rds of the game these element kept me intrigued - artstyle etc. are nice The bad stuff: - although I like the world and loved POE1/2 the story of Avowed is mediocre at best, there was no point in the game at which the story really made me want to continue. - I disliked the companions. I found their overall writing to be uninteresting. Compare this to BG or original DA: Origins, these games had interesting and sexy companions you wanted to know more about and romance. I did not care for the Avowed companions (who felt a little like they were the DEI squad) - I think they made astonishingly bad choices in regards to item upgrade/progression - Especially towards the end, enemy encounters and variety felt very repetitive became increasingly less fun for me - combat does not really change from start to finish - it doesnt feel like it evolves a lot. This combined with the enemy variety and story led me to rush through the final parts a bit because I somewhat wanted to finish it but not spend too much more time with it. - Another thing that has been critizied a lot but did not bother me so much is that the world is unreactive compared to games like Skyrim: there is no theft, you take whatever you want out each home; you can throw bombs in town or try to hit citizens - the game does not even react to that and you cannot harm them like in Elder Scolls games. If you want a fast paced, action oriented game without too much depth, I think you can go for avowed. If you want a deep RPG with good story, companions and well thought out systems, I suggest you skip this one. It is certainly not a bad game. But it is also most certainly not a really good game. I
