i love the whole aveyond series, from rhens quest to now
Being an old RPG maker game, the gameplay is definitely outdated, and I really dislike the map layouts, it's just full of dead ends everywhere forcing you to spend unnecessary amounts of time just walking around for no reason, even in towns. The story is really good though and drags you in. I played this a long time after I played the first in the series, so I had issues knowing what's where at the beginning of the game and having to rely on googling because the game seriously lacks guidance in that scenario, so my recommendation is if you liked it and want to continue the story, play them in succession, don't leave a long gap where you'll forget the map and what's where. I recommend the game on a discount.
To anyone reading this - play this game! The story is so awesome and wholesome and beautiful. Amaranth games did such a great job with the all the Aveyond games but these 4 games in the Orbs of Magic series are even better, somehow.
Bad
Tags: Topdown - RPGMaker&PartyRPG Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Aveyond series uses stock RPGMaker assets. It failed to fullscreen correctly on my monitor. Users report it is poorly balanced. Not worth the timesink.
I like it's exploration w hidden items or locations. I love the storyline
I love this series. It is fun and satisfying
I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! I can't get enough. After I'm done I'll go back and play Aveyond 1 and 2. This game has so much charm and you get really attached to some of the characters. I love their personalities, the story, the turn-based fighting, and being able to explore the world.
Good
Definitely start with Aveyond 3-1 or the story won't make all that much sense. I liked the game a lot. I liked that you could continue with your save from the previous game. Depending on your choices there, some quests could not be done. I recommend this game and the whole series.
