The best fighting game in the market right now, far and away. The flow system, despite working differently for almost every character in the game, allows for deep interactions on block and in neutral, in a way neither SF, Tekken, GG or Uni do not. Not only that, because flow is so embedded in every interaction as a powerful option on defense, offense can be incredibly powerful without it ever becoming oppressive to the point of making the defender fell powerless. Movement on almost every character is also so distinct and free flow in a way that is incredibly refreshing, that it makes neutral super engaging and creative. A lack of ranked, and two unfinished characters is a massive downside, however. Playing online is a headache, having to manually set the delay of each match like it's 2009 and GGPO just came out is kind of ass, and the lack of SBMM makes the player selection seem very random, with it being mostly absolute beginners. The lack of any form of rankings (not even a streak indicator or a wins/losses record) combines with this to make progressing in this game feel very weird, making you constantly question yourself. Am I better than what I was yesterday, or did I simply play against worst opponents? Playing against people of a wide range of skillsets can be fun, but stomping beginners while autopiloting can make the online fell tedious at times, and I imagine being on the other end must be equally, if not more tedious. All in all the best fighting game right now, and such a massive accomplishment for a small team. However ♥♥♥♥ paramount for forcing the game to release early, and please add ranked.
This game is so satisfying as a first timer in Fighting Games and a Huge fan of Avatar this game is so good even though with my struggles trying to move a joystick and pressing a button at the same time for one move and getting complicated by the amounts of moves i need to do and the amount of buttons i need to press i still like the game's design, the smooth hand drawn animation, the characters i love, i can see myself still playing this in the future, i just hope they dont run out of character ideas!
Picked the game up on a whim because 30$ is a steal in todays landscape and im absolutely hooked. The sound effects, the visuals, the gameplay all feel top notch and really has a certain sauce that not a lot of modern fighting games have these days; that might sound like a boomer take but something about this game just feels right and it scratches all the parts of my brain that Skullgirls did and I place that game in my top 5 fighting games of all time. In it's current state it's definitely pretty barebones, but the foundation the devs laid is more than rock solid and I am very excited to see what this game blossoms into down the road. I think diehard fighting game fans, Avatar fans, and folks looking to get their feet wet in the genre should all give this game a spin because you will 100% get your moneys worth and then some.
Best feeling modern fighting game.

restored my honor 10/10
