AUTOCROSS MADNESS

Horrible. I wouldn't even call this a game, because it feels like a tech demo for a 2002 racing game. There is no time limit or other cars or anything, you just drive along the track. If you fall off the track it takes you back to the "select your car" screen. You can't change what level to play on without closing and restarting the game. Once you cross the "finish line", you just drive right off the road and get taken back to the "select your car" screen... For version 2,0 this is really bad.

AUTOCROSS MADNESS takes the already amazing formula of a racing game and improves it significantly, adding many many new things. The cars are amazing, feels like a joy to drive, and the handling feels spot on. Circuits are all around solid and are pretty much exact to the real life stuff. Short additions have also been made to a variety of circuits adding a unique twists to some classic tracks. Graphics are stunning, maybe a little grainy at times, especially with lower settings, but running on the highest settings the game simply looks stunning, an overall great looking game as to be expected. Engines sound very realistic, along with the weather effects. The classic cars sound absolutely incredible, and it's so refreshing hearing the perfect roar of a V10, and being in control of that power is an experience. The game seems very well optimised and ran great on my 750ti, and also my 1060. 1060 being able to max it out, 750ti able to run it at reasonable settings very smoothly. My game however does occasionally crash. Verdict: 9/10, the best racing game to date.

[h1]Matchbox races[/h1] In this simple 3D car race game you can find very interesting miniature to realism graphics. The racetrack is like a bended rubberbelt between some random rocks and sometimes it's hard to keep the balance. All of the 18 car models are accessible from the beginning but they do not differ. Some engine noises or wheel smokes seem to much exaggerated. Also all tracks end in a very short finish zone and then end of the road. It makes fun to explore all 12 tracks. But after that there are no leaderboards worth it to rplay the tracks.

Затея хорошая, реализация тоже не плохая. но не хватает интерактивности с другими игроками, хотя бы таблицы времени мировой и среди друзей...да и время трэков не записывается, печально. А в целом посидеть погапрягаться соло самое то. Для любителей трэкмании сойдет)

The cars do not work properly. I don't know how that can be even a problem in a game made for racing solely. Sometimes it accelarates, sometimes it doesn't turn. I tried to finish one level in the game for more than 10 minutes and could not achieve it. I eventually rage quitted. Do not buy this game. The gameplay showcased in the video is definitely played by a bot. Otherwise, it must be an elite gamer who walks among us, mere mortals.

I don't get all the drama about this game. It's a cute arcade indie racer, cheap and fun, with good looks and challenging gameplay.

Как игрушка, купленная на распродаже за 20 р., сойдет...но не более. Брать за полную стоимость не советую. Есть несколько живописных трасс (не, не трасс, а дистанций от точки А в точку Б в разных географических локациях), разные авто на выбор, каждая со своим звуком движка!!! и возможностью выбора из трех цветовых схем. Графоний норм, физика машинок та еще дрянь, тормоза практически моментально останавливают авто в ноль. После прохождения трассы, показывают время и как бы все...новая трасса... Маршруты особого интереса не представляют, если только не проходить их тапку в пол. Короче, никакого интереса и соревновательной активности. Добавили бы хотя-бы список своих результатов для каждой трассы, а то проехал и забыл. Проезжаем мимо, господа.

Imagine a single player Wipeout where you drive classic cars on a track barely twice the width of the car and elevated high above the ground, and with no crash barriers. Now imagine that the road is made of ice, the car constantly accelerates and when you use the brakes you go in a straight line, no matter which direction you are steering. The result is like playing a vehicular version of a wire loop buzzer game where the key is keeping speed as slow as possible and knowing where to and not to use your brakes. The whole drifting nonsense shown in the store page images is just pure BS and not representative of the game at all... oh yes, and there is no "racing", or timer, or leader boards or indeed anything, just get the the end of the level and earn an achievement. A game where the turtle beats the hare every time.

It's okay at best. The concept is there, but the optimization severely lacks. My PC is semi-decent and runs around 20FPS on this game. I feel as if there is a lot of room for improvement here, but I can't recommend the game in its current state. Also, I feel it needs a different title. The racing in game differs a lot from real autocross. Since I am a sponsored autocross racer in the real world, I was expecting something way different than the racing style included in the game. I was expecting actual autocross like the sanctioned SCCA events and such, not point to point racing.
