Midnight Scenes: Among Graves

As much as I love Octavi's games for their immaculate atmosphere and art style, this one, unfortunately, was a miss for me. The plot is a bit confusing and lacks this captivating mystery that Midnight Scenes are usually known for. The gameplay is also entirely missing this time. It's more like a slideshow of a story rather than the usual interactable point & click. Also, sound effects really throw off the atmosphere. Like, they're unnecessarily funny. Overall, it might still be worth a try if you really like those games, but for me personally it didn't do it.

I had a nice time with this episode of Midnight Scenes but I wish there was a bit more point 'n click gameplay even if I know this is primarily a visual novel. I also still dislike the goofy sounds that come up during discussions (I even decided to mute them in the settings) because it breaks the dark atmosphere. That being said that was a cool episode, but not the best nor the most thought provoking. My favorites ones are still The Nanny and A Safe Place. I'll be here for the next one though!

Another solid atmospheric entry in this Twilight Zone-like series. They play like a point and click game but siimilar to some of the later games in the series, they don't have any inventory puzzles, and is pretty much on rails. It's the story that's important.

90 Minutes of all hand created art and a fantastic story

午夜剧场这次的故事虽没有之前nanny、from the woods那么吓人，但讨论的议题更为深刻，故事及世界观的完整性也高了很多，不过还是觉得少了点前作的悬疑，如果能少些跳吓多点氛围塑造就好了。希望作者可以一直做下去，这个系列还是很值得一入，春促也都在打折，大家可以看看midnight scenes: nanny这一作，折后入手不亏。

Midnight Scenes: Among Graves is a nice story to experience, but I think it could be better. The characters mostly felt bland. I didn't feel any emotional connection with them (except for Carla during the end), but the story about the Veil and the lineage was intriguing. I wish there were meaningful choices (if there were any, I missed whatever they changed in the story) and/or puzzles. Or minigames. I know this is a lineer interaction experience, rather than an adventure 'game', but I still wish it had a gameplay. Still, it's a good story to experience.
