Graphic adventure game, hidden object, pastime. PROLOGUE We are in the Middle Ages, an era where people are dominated by superstitions and live with fears and lack of knowledge. While culture and science try to make their way to improve people's lives, those in power try to avoid all this because a people who live in ignorance are more submissive. And so the nobles, officials, merchants, financiers and even some police commanders decide to form an alliance in a sect, a dark cult where the purpose of the followers is to destroy any source of knowledge and culture and scientific achievements. Unfortunately the circumstances are in their favor because a coup d'état is expected due to the unexpected death of the King and the wife left alone without children is in danger of life. THE danger is that this cult could dominate and take over the city. PLOT In the slums of the city lives a young girl named Maria, she supports herself by petty theft, one day she is discovered and immediately thrown in a cell in the city prisons. At the same time, Maria's little brother Ray is kidnapped by a mysterious cult hiding under leather masks. Fortunately, Maria meets Herbert, an ex-cop who helps her escape from the cell, passing through the city's basement. Arrived on the road she discovers that not only her brother but also many other young boys have been kidnapped, determined to find out what's going on Maria collaborates with Herbert, her job is to sneak into a merchant's house to steal a mysterious code. By deciphering this code it emerges that there is a secret society that wants to eliminate all the intellectual heritage of citizens. Her research leads her to meet several people including some luminaries of science, who unfortunately have had to deal with the strong actions of the cultists, with the help of these Scientists Maria manages to sneak into a secret gathering and free all the children disappeared. After this rescue they decide to enter the Royal Palace without being noticed , and finally manage to find out who is at the head of this secret sect : her name is Morgana , a former maid of the queen , because of her there was a coup d'état at court in which Maria's father lost his life. Determined to avenge her father's death, Maria manages to overthrow the plot of the cult and embrace her dear brother Ray, while Herbert regains the trust of the queen who appoints him head of security and defender of science PLAYABILITY Well done graphics, smooth playability, quite long-lived. There is a tutorial that guides us to the beginning of the story, we have a Diary (in the form of a roll) to consult where maps and useful information are collected. We have a tender friend who always carries a nice ferret with us, when we don't know what to do click on him and he will show us a Hint. There is no danger of getting stuck because in case of extreme need we can consult "The strategic guide" There is no shortage of collectibles, sharpen your eyes because around you can collect gems of different colors, they will be placed in a nice box. The protagonist is very skilled in disguises, you need to find everything you need and then we will use our skills to dress her, make her up, do her hair and transform her completely into another person. The minigames are quite fun and can be easily overcome with a little effort, we will also have to be skilled at using lock picks, there is no fixed system you have to move everything until it lines up with the lock. The music fits the theme of the story. I advise you to play it all to the end so you will unlock the Extras there is a bonus chapter where the story continues. I recommend this "object finder" a well made product a long and pleasant storyline to play. Very VERY boring "game".

[h1]Fall of the New Age – Premium Edition[/h1] ...is a hidden object game. After a secret cult has kidnapped her brother, young thief Marla follows the traces of a conspiracy that could bring the kingdom back to the Dark Ages. [h1]⚙ [u]Game Description & Mechanics[/u] ⚙[/h1] If you’re new to Hidden Object games, the game consists of fixed background panels from which you can interact with objects or enter doors or passages to other panels, although you don't actually see your character walk around. Interactions can be a magnifying glass to get hints, a hand to grab objects or move levers, and using objects you previously picked up. If you're lost as to what step to take next, you have your trusty ferret that will help you and point you to where you need to go or which object you should activate next. You get the namesake hidden object puzzle in multiple instances. These usually consist of a panel filled with clutter from which you need to find specific items or images. There are plenty of other puzzles as well, such as image association, lock picking, mechanical puzzles to solve, from image association to mechanical puzzles, etc., which often requires you to first find missing parts prior to solving them. Such puzzles are used to open doors to other puzzles or containers for objects you will use later. [h1]☺ [u]What I enjoyed[/u] ☺[/h1] For once, the hidden object puzzles actually have a point. Most games usually have you go through a list of completely useless and unrelated objects and end up with a single one you keep for later use, but here, they consist of various parts required to create a costume to infiltrate a location (of which there are several across the game) or walls of symbols where you need to find a previously found list that serve as a password for a doorway of some kind. No one expects the story of such games to have any depth, but there are gems scattered across the game that, when found, unlock manuscripts of in-game lore, adding a lot to the story if you bother collecting the gems and reading them. The game would normally be pretty short, but the premium edition includes an entire additional chapter that extends the story from [spoiler]saving your brother[/spoiler] to [spoiler]putting an end to the cult[/spoiler]. [h1]☹ [u]What bothered me[/u] ☹[/h1] Most puzzles make no sense or rime in their context. How do planting flowers to make sure their roots don't cross unlock a hidden compartment? How come a chest found in a recently overturned carriage can only be opened with a key found beneath the bark of an ancient tree? How come a small box's cover won't be open with a knife, nor a chisel, nor an axe blade, but exclusively with that specific stick of wood? Why can you only fill the bucket, which is urgently needed to put out a fire, using the water from that one fountain, but not from the water of the sewer, lake or half-a-dozen other sources found around? The production value of this game is pretty low, with voice acting that go anywhere from barely serviceable to down right terrible. The visuals, usually a large part of these games' charm, are rather subpar. Even the graphics, animation and game resolution are two decades old, I'm surprised it even has widescreen compatibility. [h1][b]Verdict[/b]: ★★☆☆☆ - [i]"Forget it."[/i][/h1] What we have here is another terribly average hidden object game, void of any Steam benefits achievement hunters or badge collectors usually want. There's nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd of games this genre has on offer, and can certainly be skipped. [h1] Genre [/h1] Ein Hidden Object Adventure [h1] Story [/h1] Wir spielen die Diebin Marla und sind gerade dabei etwas zu stehlen. Plötzlich wird unser kleiner Bruder von irgendwelchen Kultisten gefangen genommen und wir landen im Gefängnis. Ein Mysteriöser Mann hilft uns auszubrechen und nun wollen wir den Kult der das Königreich bedroht stoppen und unseren Bruder aus deren Klauen befreien [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Es ist das typische Hidden Object Adventure. Wir lösen wie immer allerhand Rätsel und sammeln Gegenstände ein um weiterzukommen. Wimmelbildszenen gibt es hier nur sehr wenige, diese machen wir nur wenn wir Kostüm Teile brauchen um uns zu verkleiden. Das Spiel hat ein paar Nette, kleine Features die man selten in diesem Genre sieht, wie eben das genannte Kostüm bzw. Verkleiden oder auch das benutzen der Steinschleuder um Feinde zu betäuben (hierbei müssen wir selber zielen). Es gibt auch recht viele Cutscenes die auf Humor getrimmt sind, was auch mal erfrischend ist. Voice Acting ist wie üblich eher mäßig und Musik ist OK [h1] Pro/Contra [/h1] + Günstig (Im Sale für knapp über 2€ zu bekommen) + Nette Gameplay Idee (mit den Verkleiden & der Steinschleuder) + Die Rätsel sind ordentlich gemacht & machen Spaß + Wimmelbildszenen sind gut gemacht + Nett gemachte Cutscenes +/- Leider keine Achievements [h1] Fazit [/h1] Definitiv eines der besseren Hidden Object Adventures die ich in letzter zeit gespielt habe. Ich fand die Gameplay Ideen mit dem verkleiden und auch das mit der Steinschleuder sehr gut gemacht. Die Rätsel & die Wimmelbildszenen haben Spaß gemacht und die Story ist OK. [h1]Fall of the New Age - Стоит ли тратить 280 рублей на 3 часа? [/h1] Fall of the New Age - квест-головоломка от украинской студии Shaman Games. В Steam с 2014 года, и, к сожалению, отзывы у игры смешанные. [h1]СЮЖЕТ[/h1] История Марлы, попавшей в темницу и спасающей брата от похитителей, звучит интересно, но в реализации страдает. [b]Сюжетные диалоги затянуты и скучны, вникать в них просто не хочется.[/b] История выглядит как беспомощный придаток, размазанный по тарелке. [h1]ГЕЙМПЛЕЙ[/h1] [b]Стандартный квест с поиском предметов (HOG), но с необычной механикой: поиск не по списку, а по силуэтам.[/b] Удовольствие это, увы, не приносит, превращаясь в хаотичное прокликивание, где за раз случайно находишь несколько предметов. Логика головоломок вызывает вопросы. Кочерга, которой можно достать предметы на расстоянии, почему-то не может подцепить предмет на веревке. Для этого нужна стрела, которую нужно сломать. [b]Подобных нелогичных решений в игре хватает. Фокусы с переодеванием сложности не добавляют, а лишь затягивают прохождение.[/b] [h1]ИТОГ[/h1] [b]Прошел Fall of the New Age Premium Edition за 3 часа.[/b] Симпатичная рисовка и кинематографические ролики - немногочисленные плюсы. Но они не компенсируют скучный геймплей, затянутый сюжет и нелогичные головоломки. Учитывая ценник в 280 рублей и малое количество контента, [b]рекомендовать к приобретению сложно.[/b] Если вы фанат жанра и ждете скидку - возможно. В остальных случаях - лучше поискать что-то другое.

A casual blend of classic point & click adventure games with hidden object moments and some mini-games for things like lock picking and creating disguises. The story is well presented for the genre with decent cartoon style animation and adequate voice acting. I enjoy the thief aesthetic and find myself more engaged with the story than normal for a point and click. Покупать не советую, бесплатно поиграть - можно. Разрабы те ещё клоуны, и из игры русский язык вырезали напрочь ради... хз, наверное патриотизма. Хотя таким приколом в первую очередь навредили своей же аудитории - украинцам. Потому-что 6лять на русском языке говорят не только в России. Включил русский язык, ок. Но диалоги летят со скоростью пули, и понять сюжет можно только благодаря картинкам на экране. Все диалоги на англичанской мове, и мне в падлу переводить все диалоги в игре, я зашёл в игру не ради того что-бы думать. А квесты тут тебя думать и не заставят, их может решить и детсадовец с лишней хромосомой. Сюжет писал по видимому тот самый детсадовец, ибо такие сюжетные повороты это отдельный вид пытки. Нахождение квестовых предметов невероятно дэбильное, вот примеры: "Киця хочет кушать... Дам ка я ей рыбу. Ой что, это привязано к коту? Да не может быть, это же кружка которая мне так нужна!" Или вот ещё: "Хммм за мной гонится толпа мужиков бандитов с оружием, а я в стойле... Что же делать? Точняк, расчешу лошадке гриву! Ой, внезапно у лошадки в гриве была часть головоломки, потрогаю вон то ведро с пшеном... О и тут тоже лежит головоломка, как неожиданно... Наверное стоит заглянуть в попу лошадке, там уж точно будет головоломка." И так всю игру. Выглядит игра приятно, а играется как гомна кусок. -7/10

awww how much i miss this kind of games i used to play with my sis used to enjoy the story and the puzzles and the hidden stuff.. the nice simple days xD not that bad option if you like this kind of games

The story didn't even register in my brain as having existed. Only HOAG true fans should consider playing this game.
