Aureole - Wings of Hope

After a bit of reconsideration, I don't really recommend this game now. I got as far as beating two levels in the second chapter and I still only made it that far because my savefile I used on another PC didn't sync to my main PC, despite the game claiming support for Steam Cloud. I also feel that Aureole didn't explain the controls well enough. To be specific, I inadvertedly skipped the tutorial level when really I wanted to skip just the rather long-winded dialouges, which I only learned from wild guesses that you need to hold down the LMB. That, and I had to guess that the RMB does the speedy dash move. It'd be nice to get a confirmation dialog before skipping the tutorial, telling the player that it's recommended. But the straw that broke the camel's back for me is the steep difficulty curve of the levels. I [i]am[/i] aware of the accessibility options though, and I did try them out, but the friction in going between menus makes me rather reluctant to use them in the first place.

Más allá de la gracia de ser «El Sonic bueno», Aureole – Wings of Hope demuestra ser un plataformas satisfactorio donde las físicas de la aureola, unos controles sencillos y los entornos de sus variados niveles harán que cualquier amante de los plataformas disfrute surcando los cielos a gran velocidad durante la aventura de Ramila y Ryleth. Un juego sensacional que también se ha permitido el lujo de incluir un contenido que permitirá a los jugadores volver siempre que quieran, como puede ser el caso de los divertidos minijuegos o los rankings globales contra otros jugadores. Played this on a Next Fest almost two years ago and knew immediately I had to play the full game. The sense of speed, platforming precision and the tools you're given to execute it all are so smooth and rounded to perfection you'd think they used a mold to design this game. It's fluid, fast, doesn't waste your time when you die, and comes up with a ton of unique level gimmicks that all come together in the final levels to really test all those skills you honed. There's collectables to find in each level, and even more interesting, there are actual puzzles for you to decipher, both of which lead to bonus levels that ratchet up the difficulty quite a bit. The game never feels unfair though, and punishments for failure are minimal, with a few exceptions. The story and world is surprisingly well crafted for a platformer, telling a tale about angels and demons in a way that feels fresh and doesn't take itself too seriously, yet still has a weight to it that really makes it feel balanced. Our two protagonists, Ryleth snd Ramila havd really great banter as well, and are excellently written, drawn and voice acted. You can tell it's a labor of love. If I have negatives, it's that a few of the collectables are unfairly hidden; I will never call hiding a secret behind the level start good design, and this game does it at least twice. The final boss also has a pretty severe difficulty spike, and has no checkpoints, odd since thd rest of the game has them frequently. There is also one bonus stage that changes the game formula up completely, and becomes extremely punishing as a result. But these are pretty minor complaints, and most of them are optional content anyway. Overall, Aureole is well worth your time if you're a platformer fan, especially speed platformers like Sonic. It can be a bit hard to master its unique controls, but once you get it it truly sings.

El estilo visual es agradable y además los controles son muy sencillos, cómodos y fáciles de aprender. Un juego muy entretenido y frenético

Juego muy frenético, buena banda sonora y bastante asequible tanto para jugadores casuales como los más try-hards. A veces puede ser frustrante el quedarte atascado en ciertas zonas, pero el coste de aprendizaje es bastante asequible y satisfactorio. Desbloquear los niveles no obligatorios puede ser complicado, pero al volver a fases anteriores una vez que aprendes cómo hacerlo se simplifica bastante; lo importante es fijarse en el entorno del menú de fases y en los niveles. Los minijuegos de fases son bastante entretenidos, incluso si no consigues superar el reto. ENG-It has a frenetic gameplay (that rewards you for reaching high speeds), a good soundtrack, and quite accessible for both casual and hardcore players. Sometimes it can be frustrating to get stuck in certain areas, but the learning curve is quite affordable and satisfying. Unlocking non-mandatory levels can be tricky, but returning to previous stages once you learn how makes it much simpler; the important thing is to pay attention to the environment in the stage menu and the levels themselves. The stage minigames are quite entertaining, even if you don't quite overcome the challenge.

just bought this and finish the first few levels and its a good game with simple controls and a decent soundtrack, though i have tryed looking up a full walkthrough and there arent any but thats par for the course. 10/10

[h1]Aureole - Wings of Hope 简评 [/h1] [hr][/hr] Aureole - Wings of Hope是一款横屏动作类跳跃闯关游戏，不知道大家玩没玩过早起的索尼克，本作玩的时候就给我这种感觉。配上还算可以的画风，而且整体的动作难度非常适中，操作也并不是太难，左键三次加速，右键一个下砸加速即组成了这款游戏的基础操作，然后就是需要玩家操控一个环在每一个关卡内达成速通。不过想要真的做到速通其实难度还是挺高的，需要细细琢磨，然而对于游戏苦手来说也是非常友好的，超高次重复足以让我这种苦手也能慢慢通关，而且一次加速足以爽一会！ 游戏的关卡设计的也是相当有意思，因为在闯关前的新手关卡教程会让你知道上中下三种左键冲刺方式，并且了解到环环的掉落时会有降速的情况，因此就自然而然想让玩家摸索出对应的最优解，同样的本作也会有一些特殊的加速环让玩家在可以蹭到的情况下加速通关从而获取更快地速度。当然本作也设置了一些比较独特的失败点，比如一个长长的不可触碰的地方，这时就需要玩家自己警惕防止碰到从而失败！而在遇到那种凹凸不平的地也要运用好右键的蓄力加速直接闯过去！ Aureole - Wings of Hope可以说能够称得上是复古的一款闯关游戏，很像当年玩的索尼克这种类别的。而玩起来可以说也不负这种感觉，优秀且动感的音乐bgm搭配着这种轻快的操作，玩起来就很爽，而且对于游戏苦手来说也是非常解压的，完全不需要太动脑子也能磕磕绊绊的跑过去，哪怕是一次加速成功也会让你有爽感。不过请需要注意的是现在这款游戏哪怕有中文了，但是整体汉化也非常奇怪，大量的空格出现，并没有做校对。在意的玩家可以关注一下后续，不过总体还是非常推荐的！ [quote]欢迎关注 [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45531068/]黑白测评[/url] [hr]黑夜显真 白昼辨伪

The speed of this game is a joy, especially once you get a good feel for things. The story hook at the start also does a good job at getting the stakes set, and giving a character-driven reason why the speed is needed.
