Overcooked, under-nourishing. The game designers just wanted to make something with elaborate, fantastical aesthetics, and the result is that the puzzles have no rationale, the story is paper-thin, the controls are horrible (I don't want to go pixel-hunting just to move between screens), and the game as a whole is frustrating. The designers have been careful to ensure you cannot interact with items (or even access some areas) until another condition is met, but when you combine this with a non-linear format, the result is that you will think the game is broken. The game is short, and it seems that unhelpful mechanics were employed just to extend the run time. Use a walkthrough and treat it like a movie if you want to keep your sanity.
The graphics are looking quite dated, now, but the game contains some nice puzzles, the music is good and the story entertaining. I found many of the the puzzles very hard. There is little or no help and no way to pin notebook pages to keep them in view, which is really needed. I used a walkthrough and many of the connections it suggests you need to make are **very** subtle and I missed a lot of them. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the game and recommend it.
I just found this game really shallow... Below average puzzles, and awful controls. Story, music, and dialogues, miles below par.
What a fun romp and escape to a mystical world. This is easily one of my favorites from a by gone era. It's easily a classic. The puzzles and worlds are awesome. Highly recommend if you aren't one of those people to fault it for it's limitations due to age.
この手のゲームは好きなんですが、如何せん操作性が悪いので謎解きに集中できなかったです。
Really frustrating. My rating 1/10 not recommended.
Lovely old style point and click adventure game. Puzzles/quests are nicely intricate (but not illogical). Good gameplay and artwork.
Pretty decent for a game this old. In fact, it's a lot better than many newer games. The graphics were a bit overdone, and the rendition of human forms is not up to today's standards, but they didn't have too many characters. It could have used a help/hint feature, because it's not always clear what to do next, or that you're missing some obscure object that's crucial to advance, and some of the puzzles are obscure, but it was well worth the couple of bucks I paid for it.
