ONLY GET IT ON SALE!! Would have been the number 1 best pirate game if it had come out flawless but it needed fixes asap, had no Q&A. This is a nice tide over till Windrose and Ark Survival Asended bob's tall tale's dlc 2 in quarter 2. I would get a friend or a partner to play with as this game is like ark for needing to grind out materials, buildings and combat if you wish to have any real fun, wanna play solo? it's madatory to scale the harvest rates up and xp to skip the grind but still fun none the less, only get it if you want to sink some hours into finding a base and sailing around an empty world with no pvp and enjoy PVE content more (as i do)
could of been great if it wasnt abandoned and made by non retarded devs. that completely release broken unplayable games constantly.

ATLAS is an ambitious open-world pirate survival MMO that plunges players into a vast, shared oceanic world teeming with adventure, danger, and opportunity. From the moment you set sail, the game impresses with its massive scale, allowing you to explore thousands of islands, engage in naval battles, and carve out your own place in a persistent, player-driven world. Unlike many survival games that focus on isolated or small-scale experiences, ATLAS thrives on large-scale multiplayer interaction, combining base-building, resource management, and epic sea combat into a unique and often chaotic blend. Exploration is a cornerstone of ATLAS’s appeal. The world feels truly enormous, with diverse biomes ranging from tropical islands to frozen tundras, each with its own wildlife, resources, and environmental challenges. Players can chart their own courses, discover hidden treasures, and encounter dangerous creatures both on land and at sea. The dynamic weather and day-night cycles add an extra layer of immersion, influencing everything from sailing conditions to combat tactics. While the vastness is impressive, it sometimes leads to moments of aimlessness for solo players, especially early on when resources are scarce and threats loom large. Survival mechanics in ATLAS are robust, requiring careful management of hunger, thirst, and health, along with protection against environmental hazards. Gathering resources and crafting are critical to progression, enabling players to build ships, weapons, and outposts. The ship-building system is particularly noteworthy, offering deep customization options that range from small sloops to massive galleons bristling with cannons. Naval combat is intense and strategic, demanding teamwork to maneuver, load cannons, and repel boarders. However, this complexity can be overwhelming for newcomers, and the steep learning curve may discourage casual players. Multiplayer interaction defines much of the gameplay experience in ATLAS. Alliances and rivalries between player groups shape the political landscape, with territorial control, trade routes, and large-scale naval battles adding layers of depth and excitement. The persistent world means that your actions have lasting consequences, fostering a sense of community and competition. That said, the game can be unforgiving to solo or small-group players, as larger, more organized crews often dominate the seas and key resources. This social dynamic can be thrilling but also frustrating, depending on your playstyle and server environment. Technically, ATLAS has had its share of ups and downs. At launch, performance issues, bugs, and crashes were common, but ongoing updates have significantly improved stability and optimized gameplay. Visuals are serviceable, with detailed ship models and vibrant island environments, though some textures and animations feel dated or repetitive. The user interface is functional but can be cluttered, especially during hectic battles or complex crafting sessions. Audio design effectively captures the ambiance of the high seas, from creaking wood to crashing waves and cannon fire, enhancing immersion. In conclusion, ATLAS delivers a vast and exhilarating pirate-themed survival MMO experience that rewards exploration, cooperation, and strategic thinking. Its enormous open world, deep crafting systems, and dynamic player-driven conflicts set it apart from other survival games. However, the game’s complexity and challenging multiplayer dynamics mean it is best suited for dedicated players willing to invest time and effort. While it may not be perfect, ATLAS offers a uniquely immersive seafaring adventure that continues to evolve and expand, promising countless hours of pirate escapades on the open ocean. Rating: 5/10
I won't play this game alone, but with friends.....this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. We get a lot of good laughs and entertainment playing. I don't have a lot of hours into the game, only about 65 hours, but I can honestly say that it was a good buy.
Abandoned game from a greedy company
Constant crashes and disconnects, game is dead.
