About
AI caused the collapse. You don't know why yet. But you will.
Hollow Cedar is an open world survival adventure built around a story worth finishing.
AI took the jobs first, then the cameras, then the factories, the governments, hospitals, and courts. It happened slowly, one system at a time, and at every step it looked like progress.
Then it went too far. The collapse that followed swept the world and left survivors clinging to life amongst abandoned towns, dense forests and crumbling infrastructure. Humanity split, and the survivors who remain still cannot agree on how to live.
Nothing crawled out of the ground. There are no demons, no monsters, and no zombies. The danger is the cold, the hunger, the weather, the wildlife, and the people who survived alongside you and want what you have.
Harvest what you can. Craft what you need. Build a shelter, tame the animals, recruit allies. Follow the clues and piece together who you were before.
Most survival games hand you a world and walk away. Hollow Cedar hands you a mystery. The narrative is revealed through exploration rather than cutscenes, and following it deeper is what drives you forward.
Harvest resources, craft your gear, engineer vehicles, build a base and tame the creatures around you. Recruit allies to help with your survival and bring your base to life.
How you treat the world and the people in it shapes how they treat you back.
Hide your loot underground, and dig up what others left behind.
Caught in a storm with no shelter and no fire? You won't last long. Day turns to night, conditions shift, and survival gets harder with them.
Mountains and forests, lakes and rivers, abandoned towns, and old industrial areas, scattered across the map. Terrain sculpted by hand, not spat out by a generator.
PvPvE and PvE servers, so you can cooperate, compete, or brave it alone.
