About
Astroneers undergo rigorous training to explore the frontiers of outer space for the good of all humankind. Creativity and ingenuity are key to their survival!
Astroneers are trained to use the Terrain Tool, a powerful instrument which can dig, collect, shape, build, and color terrain in any way they wish.
Build custom bases throughout the solar system to survive and thrive anywhere! Objects are snapped into place in a modular system that allows Astroneers to create unique builds. Automation systems, crafting stations, power plants, resource harvesters, and railway facilities are built from the ground up and can be customized to suit any situation.
This unrecognized system consists of seven celestial bodies. Each of them can be explored entirely, from the rounded surface all the way down into the core. Astroneers will have to grapple with their unique geography and challenging biomes if they seek to understand them.
These strange worlds are dotted with mysterious structures and artifacts, while Astroneers themselves receive confusing comms from unknown sources. Curious Astroneers may seek to understand these anomalies, and with them, the secrets of the solar system.
While they're perfectly capable on their own, Astroneers are team players who are always happy to offer a helping hand! Group up with other Astroneers and work together in 2-4 player online co-op. Playing solo online allows fellow Astroneers to drop in and out of your world at their leisure.
Astroneer began as an Early Access title on Steam in 2016, and reached 1.0 in 2019. We wouldn't be here today if not for our community's support, feedback, and ideation. As we continue on our journey, we want to reiterate our pledge to continue building on the foundation that is Astroneer with free, ongoing content updates.

Great game, but as someone who loves clean organization, the tether and cable management is a nightmare lmao. Still highly recommend it, but prepare for chaos.

Chill progressive game with a lovely artstyle, and also maybe the most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer game. Great balance between relaxed and challenging (all challenges optional and at your own pace). Fantastic bits of lore that you can choose whether to engage with or not (I did, I ended up turning a section of our base into the Lore Collection Corner). We did stumble upon some bugs in multiplayer, but the game is very much worth dealing with those. Criticism: I put off one quest for ages because it was mysterious and seemed like it was meant to be played in the endgame, and then when I did finally get to the endgame and went further into the quest, it turned out to be DLC content that just directs you to buy the DLC. Disappointing. You should make something like that clear at the start of the quest.
tremendo :)
Nice
this game hooked me with its cute art style and reeled me in with both its concept of space colonization and modular building. not to mention, most space games just use flat areas to indicate planets, whereas this one uses actual 3d spheres, meaning if you travel far enough in one direction, you're bound to end up where you started. and did i mention how cute it looks?! 43/10, outstanding work system era.

no enemys, chill game.
Fun, but holy crap, they STILL haven't fixed the floating tapper
ASTRONEER is one of those rare games where I collected every achievement and still wanted more. Yes, the game used to have bugs. Sometimes your rover didn’t drive on the planet — it tried to become part of the planet. And honestly, I’m not 100% sure that tradition is completely dead yet. Please, Starseeker, don’t inherit the family talent for eating vehicles. But despite that, ASTRONEER is genuinely charming. Exploring planets, building bases, unlocking tech, getting lost, accidentally launching yourself into space — it all just works. My only real complaint is that research and progression used to end way too fast. You’d start discovering cool objects and then suddenly realize: “Wait… that’s it?” The newer content helped, but I still wish the game had even more reasons to stay in that universe longer. Very fun, very cozy, occasionally cursed by physics. 10/10 would lose another rover underground.
