I enjoyed this quite a bit. Its a gripping story right from the start all the way to the end. It's probably my favorite game I've played so far this year. Hugos character arc is one for the ages.
8.5/10 - a rare stealth puzzle-adventure story rich game that continues to wow 7 years after release. Reminds me of a blend of The Last of Us and Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice. Haunting and fitting soundtrack (particularly "Father" and "Beyond the Horizon"), emotional story, impressive cinematic visuals, unique setting (France 1348 Black Death), interesting game mechanic (rat physics and models), and memorable characters (the growth and forging of the bond between Amicia and her little brother Hugo). It is important to know beforehand that the navigation is linear, stealth/combat on the simpler side, some chapters move slowly, and AI is a bit befuddling at times (I moved a light away from you and you didn't notice etc). These could be potential turn offs for those expecting more or something realistic. For achievement hunters, this is one of the easier completions (3/10 difficulty and 15-20 hours completion). There are collectibles and various missables to be mindful of. Fully equipping the sling/equipment will require you to be thorough in exploring the level for materials and only crafting ammunition when you absolutely need.

Confesso que foi uma das melhores experiências que já tive. Eu esperava um bom jogo, mas encontrei uma história que realmente me fez criar um carinho enorme pelos personagens. A relação entre Amicia e Hugo é sem dúvida, o ponto mais forte. Você acompanha os dois mudando aos poucos, enfrentando tanta coisa juntos, e quando percebe já está completamente apegado aos irmãos. Outro ponto que gostei bastante foi o vilão, o Grão-Inquisidor Vitalis. Ele passa uma sensação constante de ameaça e tem motivações que deixam a história ainda mais interessante. A ambientação, a trilha sonora e o clima pesado completam tudo isso e fazem cada capítulo ser marcante. No fim, é aquele tipo de jogo que você realmente fica querendo mais de sua sequência. Recomendo demais para quem gosta de jogos focados em narrativa!
This game is really underrated, I'm happy my crappy laptop managed to run it very smooth, the game is very interesting and addictive at the same time currently at chapter 14, not hard to play and very manageable with a game controller. I highly recommended it!

Just finished A Plague Tale: Innocence today and I’m still thinking about it. This game is seriously immersive. The story pulled me in so much that I completely lost track of time. I really liked Amicia and Hugo, and by the end I got pretty attached to them. Definitely going to miss these two. The graphics are still really good, especially the environments, lighting, and the overall atmosphere. The rats are terrifying 🥲 Really glad I finally played this. Planning to jump into Plague Tale: Requiem as soon as I can.

Good graphics and an interesting setting, but the predictable story, shallow characters, and repetitive gameplay loop holds it back. 6/10
Very good story, atmospheric, good graphics, was a pleasure to play it. Now I'm playing the second one and in less than a month I'm going to buy the prequel of this series. Hope they will continue the series.
