I'm looking for an X-Wing vs Tie Fighter replacement I can play on Linux so I gave this a whirl. I like to support indie developers but I just can't get past the controls in this game. Flight is awkward and I feel like I'm wrestling the ship far more than flying it. I see they mention realistic space physics but I think this will turn people away from the game.

if after 3+ hours you have yet to have any fun, uninstall.

VR (Rift doesnt work)

I really really REALLY wanted to like this game. Mostnegative reviews said, "content was lacking" and to me, that's fine provided it's fun to fly and I can shoot stuff -especially for an in-development game. However... when the OPENING TUTORIAL MISSION never ends... then the game is not ready to be played.

Malheureusement, je ne dois pas être le public visé par ce jeu. j'ai été gavé dés le tutoriel... le maniement du vaisseau est archi compliqué (dans le sens où il ne va aps du tout où je veux). Et même si le ressenti de flotter dans l'espace est bon, c'est beaucoup trop compliqué de se diriger dés le départ. Ne prenant pas de plaisir, je n'ai pas insisté. Pourtant le jeu est vraiment beau. (il faut juste noter qu'avec certaines résolutions, une partie de l'écran est coupée, il ne s'adapte pas automatiquement).

Leider hat sich an der Steuerung, auch nach Jahren und einigen Patches, nichts verbessert! Weder mit Maus & Tastatur noch mit dem GamePad ist dem Spiel etwas abzugewinnen. Frustriert deinstalliert und auf dem digitalen Friedhof bestattet, kann es absolut nicht empfehlen. 1 von 10 Punkte, wirklich nur was für die knüppelharten SciFi-Shooter Fans und Sammler.

Trash game with terrible controls and bad physics. With ASTROKILL they tried to reproduce newtonian physics but failed miserably. The missions are short and boring, graphics and environments are decent but nothing crazy. Also updates for the game are really slow, I thought it was abandonned but they updated it back in May this year. So I guess there is still hope it will be finished someday (I doubt it tbh) but for it to become a good game I don't think that will happen. If you want games with great newtonian physics and controls that make sense then I recommend Infinity: Battlescape or In The Black. Don't waste money on this unless they rework it entirely. I don't say this often but this game blows hard and feels like a tech demo. Incredibly boring, one of the worst most uninspired games I've ever played. I should have refunded it when I had the chance, a real pity.
