Astria Ascending

This is not a fun game. Even though I got it on sale for $4 CDN, I don't think it's worth it. The writing and story telling is so boring that unbearable that you wish you could speed up the dialogue, but you can't. You can keep the entire conversation though. Everything is voiced and there's a 3-5 seconds delay after every chat bubble. The voice acting is not good. There's no personality to any of the characters. The writing is terrible, but the voice acting is just as bad. All the voice actors have a different way of pronoucing names of places or characters. An example is the fishboy named Eko- some say his name "echo" or "ee-ko". Is it that difficult to decide how to pronounce a name and keep it the same for everyone? I ended up skipping every scene. I don't know what the story is or if there is a story. The combat and difficulty is okay, one downside is that every enemy/attack has it's own animation. Each animation takes roughly 3-6 seconds, and when there's roughly 6-7 mobs that goes at the same time, you might feel thankful that you have time to grab a snack or a drink. There's no turn-order indicator, so you can't really tell who or what's going to go before whom. Just stack AGI and hope for the best I guess. The dungeon map is only good for showing what doors lead to what rooms. It doesn't show you where you are in that room though. Have fun navigating. TLDR: Game not fun. Writing bad. Voice acting bad. Combat okay. QoL meh.
