Hard for me to write this review, I'ma be honest in that I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated the story / writing of this game, [b]BUT[/b] the gameplay is really farking fun. The loops fun, it doesn't feel unfair, movements responsive, fantastic replay value no bloody tech issues great game :)

好玩，爱玩，构筑太多了，太爽了，很难出现构筑凑不齐的情况，至少保你构筑的下限，可以通过自己的操作与理解提升构筑的上限。
No es un Metroidvania, al menos en las pocas horas que llevo jugadas: el sistema es ir haciendo un recorrido linea al estilo de BlazBlue Entropy Effect: pantalla con enemigos, ganas, llegas al portal en el que eliges la dificultad y recompensa de la siguiente pantalla y así hasta llegar al jefe de turno. Eso sí, el sistema de combate es muy, pero que muy gratificante. Y las animaciones son soberbias: combates preciosos, pero a la vez claros desde el punto de vista visual. No tienes la sensación de que no sabes dónde estás o de que basta aporrear el mando. Y además, los personajes son lo suficientemente distintos para que al jugarlos se sientan, eso, distintos. Sí: el mencionado BEE es muy similar en tipo de juego y mecánicas... pero. para mi gusto, este Astral Ascent lo supera en ambiente, personajes y riqueza del mundo... aunque claro, eso es opinable. Lo que no lo es tanto es que Astral Ascent es mucho más claro en cómo se distribuye la "base" de salida y lo que puedes hacer en cada sitio, así como en el modo de implementar las mecánicas de desbloqueo y crecimiento de las habilidades, que es muy transparente. No sé si pagaría el precio completo, pero en oferta (25€ con todos los DLC, 10€ el juego base) es un chollo y una joyita para desengrasar. Si el componente exploración no te preocupa lo más mínimo, y lo que quieres es un scroller lateral de puro Hack & Slash, esto es de lo mejorcito que vas a encontrar. Sobre todo si tienes un Mac.
Love the game, it's a great action roguelike that just keeps growing as you play it. My only minor complaint is that all the characters are basically just reskins with different weapons and abilities. I was really hoping we would be able to play as a character like Ikki or some other non-humanoid.
